Hi Peggy! You've been on my mind all this week and I wondered if all was well with you. So sorry you have had some problems, but very happy to see you back on the board and getting a new computer, to boot! Good omen. Take care. You are a foundation Peg of our board.

Re: J-Drama: のだめカンタービレ(Nodame Cantabile)
nchristi and bubu...-)
Many thanks for good thoughts. I am lurking here every night to see what everyone is posting about the dramas. Must say watching the dramas on TV has been a lifesaver since last October for me. It will continue for awhile longer. I am OK and no need to elaborate.
every day is icing on the cake and I have an appetite still for life. So much to learn and the world is a fascinating wonder.
It is always a marvel to hear how the stories effect different people. Funny how sometimes there will be an about turn when one posting opens a door to another person and opinions will change. It has happened to me with regard to actors. If I fail to see their good points at first I quite often change my mind after reading another description from the CJK family.
I have found that 'Jumong' for example is full of actors who have become great favourites..especially that villain Taeso. Great role for him.
Back to my cave for awhile.
Peg.

Re: J-Drama: のだめカンタービレ(Nodame Cantabile)
For anyone interested, I made a front page for the anime version of Nodame Cantabile (のだめカンタービレ)
It's currently airing only in Japan, but I thought I would go ahead and start a thread for any Nodame fans out there.

Wentz, Becky to play foreigners in Nodame special
Sunday, November 11, 2007
Eiji Wentz (WaT) and Becky have been cast in Fuji TV's upcoming Nodame Cantabile drama special, set to air for two nights at the start of 2008.
Tentatively titled Nodame Cantabile Shinshun Special, the drama continues with the original story of the manga, following Nodame (Juri Ueno) and Chiaki (Hiroshi Tamaki) as they pursue their studies in Europe.
Wentz, whose father is German-American and mother is Japanese, will play the character of Frank, a French student who is also an anime otaku. Meanwhile, the British-Japanese Becky will be donning a blond wig to play the part of the Russian student Tanya.
Fuji TV has not yet announced specific broadcast dates for the drama.

Two Nodame Cantabile films planned for 2010
December 9, 2008
Anime News Network reports that the latest issue of Kodansha's Kiss magazine reveals plans for two live-action Nodame Cantabile films. The news follows right on the heels of the announcement that the currently-airing Nodame Cantabile: Paris anime series is getting a sequel next fall.
The two movies are continuations of the popular 2006 drama series, which had a two-part special at the start of this year based on the Paris story arc. The story reportedly continues with the Paris chapter.
Juri Ueno and Hiroshi Tamaki will of course reprise their starring roles. The first film has been slated for January 2010, quickly followed by the second in the spring.

More Nodame movie details
December 10, 2008
A little more information has been revealed about the two Nodame Cantabile movies that were recently announced. First of all, Sankei Sports has reported a slightly different schedule for the films. The first one will be released in December 2009, while the second will be released about three months later in the spring. According to distributor Toho, no Japanese film sequel has ever been released so quickly after the first movie.
Producer Wakamatsu Hiroki said that it would have been impossible to fit the story into a single two-hour film, so it was decided that there would be two movies. Another producer, Maeda Kuga, expressed his confidence in the project, saying, When you see Part I, you'll surely want to see Part II right away.
Filming is scheduled to start next May and last for a total of five months, including a long period in Europe. In order to not disappoint fans of classical music, the producers have requested a famous orchestra to perform at a well-known concert hall for the movie.
As reported earlier, the movies continue the story from the two-part drama special in January, following the musical progress of Nodame (Ueno Juri) and Chiaki (Tamaki Hiroshi). As for the romance between the two, Wakamatsu did not divulge any information, simply saying that he does not yet know the details.

Re: J-Drama: のだめカンタービレ(Nodame Cantabile)
Bubu, thanks for the info on the upcoming Nodame Cantabile films! That's great to hear that they will be releasing the two movies right after one another -- hopefully they will both be successful like the drama series was!
I wonder if Eita will also be acting in these movies? It'll be nice seeing him act alongside Tamaki Hiroshi again, just like in Atsuhime. Naogoro and Sakamoto Ryoma are back, LOL!

Yeah, we still have a while to go! Looking at the second article, the first movie will be released in December of 2009, while the second one won't be released until the spring three months later (March of 2010).
