Vacation

Seems a lot of people are going on vacation around now.. I know me and my friends are anyway, so im just typing here how long we are gone, and why we are emoticon

Alexkeaton and Goziel: Moving in together in a new town where we are going to study - we have no idea how long it will take before we get Internet, hopefully only a few weeks..

Starfighter: going to the Philippines for 3 weeks, home around 18th of August

Dari: Also moving (we all just graduated and are moving on now) - Internet is ordered, and should be installed within a month

Decostj4: Roadtrip with a couple of his friends around Europe.. lucky git..

well, that was us emoticon to help everyone understand, then if you are going on vacation, please reply here an let everyone know emoticon

From Webquest Chat:

Bruno: Vacation - gone all August

Mick: Vacation next 3 - 4 weeks

----

This is to prevent warriors that have an active owner from being adopted away..

Happy holidays to everyone emoticon

Murrz: Quote from Webquest main chat (07/31) -- "I will be awayish for a couple of weeks, but will try and log in where possible. GMs, please nudge me if I don't move for over 24 hours. People in games I am GMing - apologies for any delays."

Re: Vacation

IMPORTANT NOTE: While many were on vacation, the webmaster decided it was best to shut down Webquest and the Museum.

I for one intend to try to keep some of my games going by recreating them in a message board/email/website based gaming experience. It will be a lot like Webquest in many ways, but just not all in one place and not all as easily done.

See this topic for the reason things were shut down:

http://com1.runboard.com/bwarhammerquest.f1.t89819

See this topic for my thoughts on continuing:

http://com1.runboard.com/bwarhammerquest.f3.t90025

See OW's message board for the first game that I am using to make the conversion, "The War to End All Orcs". It will be used as a pattern/experiment to do other games also as players are interested.

EDIT: Here is the second game I am trying this way. It seems to be going fine so far.

http://com2.runboard.com/bwqwhqoldwarrior.f1

The first thing players would usually want to do is read the turn text:

http://com2.runboard.com/bwqwhqoldwarrior.f1.t2

EDIT note: Only updated the links here, since Runboard renamed topics a while ago with a more numeral-based system.
