 The Rules: Please Read Before Joining
Scribe’s is a message board for writers of short stories, poetry and novels.
The aim of this board is to be a safe haven for writers.
The rules apply to all forums of this message board. Please read them carefully.
The rules can be amended at any time by the administrator.
Please also refer to the board's Copyright Notice, Warning, Credits & Disclaimer.

Rules on Joining
This is a place where writers of all genres come together to converse and share. If this does not suit you, wander over to The Runboard Directory.
By joining the board, you must also adhere to the Runboard Terms of Service.

General Rules for all Members
1) No spam. This includes links to your personal sites under every circumstance.
2) Strictly no flaming, personal attacks or offensive behaviour; always be respectful of other members. Offensive behaviour includes, but is not limited to; curse words and anything pornographic.
3) Internet language and abbreviations are not permitted at any time. Also; proper English grammar and full punctuation is expected within reason.
4) No Political and religious discussions, these often cause bad feeling and anger.
5) Work posted in a public forum is not protected, and we do not give random critiques, therefore all work posted in a public forum will be deleted. This is done to protect you, the author, from theft.

The Your Story and Ideas Forum (Private Room)
Please refer to General Information on the Your Story and Ideas Forum for information on how to use this private forum.
1. All work for critique and detailed ideas for stories should be placed in the Your Story and Ideas Forum only, which is a private forum. All work placed elsewhere will be deleted.
2. To gain entry to this forum, you must have been an active member of the writing forums for at least four weeks.
3. Entry to the private rooms is at Administrator's discretion.
4. Members who gain entry to the private rooms, but become inactive on the board for a period of three months or more, will have their membership (to the private rooms) revoked. Please do not take this personally. It is done for security reasons only and upon returning to the board, you are invited to reapply for entry.
5. All stories or part thereof are copyright and remain the property of the author/member posting the work. It is illegal to copy and reuse the stories/posts without the written consent of the author.

Open Topic Forum
This forum is for all your debates that would get you into trouble elsewhere. The No Flaming rule still applies. Remember; you attack the idea, not the poster.
Admission is at the Administrators discretion, after at least one month's membership of the board.
