A Ghost Is Born is definately a good album. It's not as good as Yankee Hotel Foxtrot IMO, but you can't expect a masterpiece like YHF everytime.

My favorite band is Pinback. The new album is good, but my favorite is Blue Screen Life. I believe they're out of San Diego. Check them.

Kinda bummed...I just missed pinback...they opened for Slint at the Palace.....but what could I do...I was witnessing the drunken rap fury that is 8 bit

I've seen them live a couple times in SB. The first at the VFCW and the second at Soho. I was a little bummed at the Soho show. Too crowded / ****ty venue. I guess I'm just getting to old to deal with the kids. emoticon The bass player is incredibly shredding though - very melodic and the vocal stylings are what make them my favorite. I'll definitely check them next time they come to OC though. Just hope it's a 21+ club, although I believe they rarely play those.
