The Mocking Bird Wars! Being Springtime the cat can't go outside without being attacked by the mocking birds. I hear the birds screeching at the cat Day and Night. They fly down at her and pick her head.
This morning she caught one and though I hate to see anything hurt or killed it was a small victory for the cat with the pecked head. Thing is she brought it into the house screaming it's head off so I got the cat to turn it lose but then I had a mocking bird flying around the house. I was tempted to let the cat catch itas it was trying to do. If the cat would just hold it in it's mouth till I could get them both outside then I could set it free to terrorize the cat again another day.
Butt the cat wouldn't hold on as each time I picked it up she would let the bird go. So I put the cat outside and opened the front door so the bird could fly out. I then opened the back door in the kitchen and heard a noise and suddenly the Mockingbird flew past my head and outside. They seem to have a bit more sense than some of the other bird brained birds!
'Yo Kill a MockingBird' indeed! And I hear the Mockingbirds outside now screeching at the cat. Maybe I have done the cat an injustice!

the slighted bird will bring back a **** load of friends and poke your eyes out....didn't you see the cut scene from the birds??they were denied seed by the terrorized town....do you pray????

Re: The Mocking Bird Wars! The Mocking Boids are giving our cat Hell again. They seem fairly uninterested in peoples but dive bomb the cat constantly. One died in the hail storm that oddly enough knew just what my deductible was and caused just about that much damage. Also Maggie (Vertical Mom)'s Magnolias are in full blossom!
