Compressor Versus STOMP by Shiney White Box

Hi all - I have recently come across a little application called STOMP.

I found it because I use an app by the same folk - the awesome iShowU. I am impressed at the high quality and TINY file sizes of iShowU and cannot reproduce the quality for size through Compressor.

For example, if I make a screen capture, then I want to edit it and recompress, the finished product will be worse quality and much larger than the capture.

The thing is, with STOMP I can get much better results in terms of size and quality.

I just want to start a discussion here about COMPRESSOR versus STOMP and what experiences others may be having.

You can download a trial version here.

I'll try this software now...

(only cause I urgently need to compress something and compressor has decided to not run at all today)

Have you tried sorenson squeeze?

It's based on the same but even more advanced.... and I dont know if stomp ever lets you know exactly how large the final movie will be before you export... (sometimes that's really useful to know)

But yes... better than compressor for sure. And also with compressor, it takes time to develop those perfect settings... But once you got them it runs like clockwork
