DVD
Hi all
Just wondering what the preferred software and media everyone uses for dvd burning. I'm having issues at the moment with disc's skipping and pausing, also some slight pixelation in some older DVD players.
My workflow after building the DVD in DVD SP 4 is to save out as a .img file and use Disc utillity and a burn speed x4.
I've tried Sony, ridata and riteck discs, so far the best results is Sony I still have some skipping issues though.
I've also tried toast
Cheers

Re: DVD
I've never had any problems burning straight out of DVD Studio Pro, I've used Sony, Imation, Verbatim and some other no name media. But then again I don't exactly do any mass production and it's not very often that I do make a DVD strangely enough. Even so, I've never had any issues with the discs when I have.

Re: DVD
Hi aroha
be aware that when you burn a VIDEO_TS folder generated directly from DVD Studio Pro 4 it will place 2 nonstandard files in it - a .layout fle and a VOB_DATA.LAY file. These files are used for formatting and should be discarded when doing burns of DVDs external to DVD Studio Pro 4.
Hope this helps.
Best Regards

Hi Footagehead.
I don't seem to have those files in my .img file but they are in my build folders.
Thanks for the input
