50p on Sony DVW 970 digi beta?
Hi there, cameraman has shot some steadicam at 50frames progressive, on a digi beta.. didn't think 50p was possible on standard def, but he swears it is so.
I can ingest the footage as normal at 25 on AJA Kona LH, but wondered if there's any way to get it to 50fps. I assumed it was like DVCProHD varispeed but obviously there's no frame converter for standard def.
Any thoughts?

Hi Paula
I think the cameraman is misguided. This camera will only support 50i or 25p at 625.
You could interpolate the footage as 50p using Shake 4.1 or push it through a teranex but it sounds like 50i to me.
These are my thoughts.

It looks progressive, must be 25p.
