Will PowerPCs become redundant?

Not really any appropriate thread for this question. But
I'm a little concerned that my G5 powerpc in the future will become completely redundant, not even an old work horse, but completely useless. Because more and more I'm seeing stuff being only available for Intel macs eg Adobe After Effects CS4 is no longer compatible for powerpc's.

In the future will software only be available for intel macs? Should I bite the bullet and sell my powerpc before its worth plummets to $0? What are ur thoughts?
Thanks in advanced.

Hi Fortune9
I hate bullet biting with computer systems.
I totally write off all computers I have bought after 3 years.
If I can't get a decent price for them I just use them for other things. My G4 desktop is just a scanning and printing machine and gets used as a flat file server. Its 8 years old.
I'd repurpose your G5 and try to pick up a 2008 octo core desktop for a good price. Getting a good price for a G5 will be tough.
There you go. Just my thoughts.

Best Regards
