setup settings for mixed format editing using multiclip

Can you please recommend Settings and Workflow for two wedding projects which will be output as Widescreen SD Pal DVDs?

Cameras used-
1. Canon HF100 (AVCHD recorded at 1440x1080 pixels),
2. Aldi Traveler HD 10x (H.264 1280 x 720 pixels, 30 frames per second! AAC sound),
3. Panasonic SDR-S10PI Widescreen Pal SD (Probably Anamorphic),
4. Older Panasonic tape DV camera recorded in long Play WS 416x312 and 12 bit
5 Another older Panasonic tape DV Cam recorded in 4x3

Would like to use Multiclip.

Editing Gear- Mac Book Pro 4,1 with 4 gig RAM. Final Cut Studio 2 includes Final Cut Pro 6.0.5 + Compressor 3.0.5

Hi Peter26
use the easy setup DV PAL anamorphic.
Make a DV-PAL anamorphic sequence and do not let the clip determine the sequence setting. All captured material should now match the format of the sequence. The 4:3 material will be pillarboxed. To use Multiclip you will probably need to export non anamorphic PAL DV footage
from a DV-PAL anamorphic sequence and reimport it into FCP. This footage will be uniform and work with multiclip.

Hope this helps
Best Regards

Thanks for the advice, Footagehead. I was getting nowhere with these projects in a ProRes 422 sequence, but will now have another go.

Have worked out that Multiclip requires that all footage is at the same frame rate, so I used Compressor to convert the 30 fps footage to 25 fps, but multiclip still wasn't working.

Will try again in a DV-PAL Anamorphic sequence, and will export and re-import non-anamorphic PAL DV footage.
