hdv footage become much darker after capture

Hi guys,

as what the topic says.. my footage becomes heavily darken after it is captured into fcp 6. I never really had this problem before and i have captured many many tapes. I figured maybe i have, but this time its really obvious that i actually realised it!!

Please help, I checked google but there doesn't seem to be obvious answers. Anyone with experience will be appreciated to help.

Re: hdv footage become much darker after capture

Hi jackkk
if you are using FCP6 the best way to start checking HDV capture problems is to load the appropriate easy setup
fro the file menu. If you are using for example a Sony Z1 in 1080 PAL mode it is likely that the easy setup you need is 1080i50. To really troubleshoot this issue with you we will need to know the OS version and version of FCP as well as the type of capture device you are using.

Best Regards
