Hi Chameleon,

I assume you mean FCP version 5.1?

And I also suspect that when you say HD you are talking about FCP version 4.5?

Please clarify and we'll be able to help you out...

Alternatively, you we can show you if you'd like to request a video Tutorial.

Hi Doug,

Thanks for the quick reply.

I guess what I am trying to work out is the best format to export into compressor(I have version 2.3). Basically I shot the project on a Sony Z1 and cut in FCP ver 5.1.4.
I tried exporting to a 'HD DVD: HD MPEG 2 30 mins but when I imported it to DVD Studio Pro and played it back lines would appear in the image during the slow mos

hope u can help
cheers

Al

Hi Alf - we got your video tutorial request but I think it might be best to answer here given your question:

"I shot the project on a Sony Z1 and cut in FCP ver 5.1.4.
I tried exporting to a 'HD DVD: HD MPEG 2 30 mins' format but when I imported it to DVD Studio Pro and made the DVD, it would not play on DVD player"

Which DVD player are you trying it in? Is it a regular domestic (SD) DVD player? If you're encoding HD DVD: HD MPEG you'll need to play it back on an HD DVD player or on your Mac.

In answer to your other question, "when I imported it to DVD Studio Pro and played it back lines would appear in the image during the slow mos", it would be most help full if you could post a screenshot of this.

Instruction of how to do this should you not already know can be found
here.
