Day 2 - 10.00 zulu

To be short, it's a completely disaster for me. I have aproximately 15 sec of latency with IVC and some "game paused". And when I try to commit on target, my connection closed... emoticon

Anyway.

So, the only think I can debrief is the departure and the begin of engagement.
We try to make the attack in 3 waves. Garbo 1 in front, Spirit1 5 Nm behing and finaly, Cowboy 1 10 Nm behind Spirit 1.

Nice work for the 101, He broke trough the flight.
For the rest, I think other pilot as more indicate to give more details.

Realy sorry guys emoticon .

Amraam.

From Spirit flight:Bungle, Naldo

Slight problem with the TE as we found ourselves with 4 aircraft instead of 2. No big deal, we just took aircraft 1 & 2 then sent element home immediatley after takeoff.

Also a little confusion with the brief as blue team stated BVR and red team stated WVR. it was decided to operate those as red could respawn.

Little bit of confusion on takeoff due to some problems the escort flight encountered. This resulted in the takeoff order being reversed, as such Falcon and Spirit flight had to make an orbit to allow Garbo (escort) to get in front.

Had a little bit of lag on IVC on ingress, not sure what was going on there but it cleared up as things were getting hot.

Formation on ingress was good. spacing was good between the flights. came across the 18's about 60 miles from target at which point we had not encountered the sam threats. We started a push in Full AB to angels 40 supersonic.

Got an active missile warning on the RWR a little into the climb and dedided to let an alarm go on the Sa2from Angels 36 or so, continued to go defensive and put the missile on my beam at 3 o clock, got hit around angels 41 and egressed out at angels 20 with smoke on.

No. 2 continued on and had also fired on the Sa2 to ensure it went down. He then went after the Sa3 with 18's chasing. Took that out with a mk83LDGP (nice job) then egressed at high speed to form up at steer 2 where we all headed home in a nice formation.

Good flight thanks all for attending.

As for the RED AIR - 101ECV
We manage to get two of our guys into the tight formation of the package coming at us.

We then visually identified F-16s and Mirage.
I gave the go to unleash our missile power on this tight formation.
2 of us got 4 planes on the first pass in dogfight ACM radar.
Our other 2 guys throw their AIM-120C at the package now identified.
Unfortunatly, the Tornadoes were in this formation and Alouette got Bungle with a BVR missiles.
We look at our ACMIs and we were close enough for a visual identification for those tornados.
But we didn't see any, so that kill can be discutable.
Sorry for this mishap!

So the RED AIR got:

Hornet 1-1 Douxx
Killed 1 time
Got Eole, Tutur and Amraam(after he got disconnected???)

Hornet 1-2 Spyder
Killed 0 time
Got WildAngel.

Hornet 1-3 Alouette
Killed 2 time
Got Bungle (Sorry for that-our honest mistake) and WildCat

Hornet 1-4 Boy
Killed many time over the respawn airbase
Got Famas and Scrat (after he released his bomb on the target)

So on our ACMI, Naldo manage to pass our tight defence.
Great work Naldo!!! emoticon

Like Bungle said,
quote:

the Blue side had a BVR ROEs and we were on a VID ROEs.

We never taught we could manage to get close enough to visually IDed the package before being all killed.
I guess we were lucky emoticon

Anyway we had a lot of fun and we'll try to do the same on our next RED AIR mission.
Check six!!!

Stephane.

Re: Day 2 - 10.00 zulu

In spite of problems it was a good flight. At one moment we had IVC latency so we use TS for comms. I made a key in order to speak only to my flight by TS but it seems that one or two of my pilots didn't do that. So while a moment communications on TS were saturated. and moreover in French language. So, excuse-us for these saturations of comms.

If not, formations between flights were very good. We detect 2 spot of F-18 at FL040 early enough wich we allowed us to put in place our offensive tactic. But it was more difficult than we thought. We knowed that F-18 is a dangerous aircraft but we didn't think that the red flight could be separated in two groups with a big altitude difference. So, that complicated our task. On the first wave, it seems that we shot down all the F-18 but at the beginning of the engagement, Amraam had a big deconnection and left the flight. It seems that the Red respawn was very near of our flight plan and position, so very quickly we had to face against the second wave. We maintained the way free about 15 minuts but Amraam's deconnection put a little confusion in the strike flight. On the second wave, a Hornet succeed to pass below us and kill one F-16 (Tutur) before I shot down it. Later it was my turn to going down. Nevertheless, Falcon 13 succeeded to hit the target but I don't know if he destroyed it. Nice job! emoticon

In conclusion it was a great flight in spit of differents problems. Nice job for the Blue team. And congratulations to the Red team for you great job!
 emoticon

Unfortunately we don't have any results to know how many planes we shot down.

Ok, you're ACMI removes some uncertainties emoticon

You kiledl Amraam after his deconnection.

Can we have your ACMI to see the engagement please? emoticon

What was Hornet 1-4 altitude when he was killed many times over the airbase respawn?

Once again, nice job guys!
