I saw Rachel Newton playing an electric harp last week -- sometimes she played one handed, just on the low strings, and it sounded like an electric bass guitar solo, with really resonant and sustained notes (I think there must have been some kind of effects pedal in there somewhere). I thought then that it should become a standard instrument in a rock band emoticon



I also recommend these guys, who I saw playing this in concert last year:

AC/DC's Thunderstruck on bagpipes (starts about 2 minutes into this medley).
