But David, there aren't any flutes!

Magnum on Sunday. Hopefully will be better than their last gig at the Academy, where the sound was appalling (the band were great... I just couldn't tell what they were playing emoticon )

Note for Mr Meadows...Rachel and Lillias will be playing support to Dave Swarbrick at Grinton Church (in the Dales) next Friday. As I live just outside Richmond I may even get off my backside to go across there.

I'm glad Rachel and Lillias are still gigging as a duo as well as with The Shee, it means I might get the chance to see them again. (Their debut album is in my top 10 albums of the decade!)

And it would be cool to see Dave Swarbrick anyway... I wish I could be at that gig. If it's not far for you, I would highly recommend it!

....not so much 'next gig' as last gig !!
Saw a great little M.A. tribute band in Manchester last night at MENA. Singer Lin Buckham or something a real Heather wannabee even down to the top hat and guitarist Steve Nix or whatever real maestro on the axe !! And they did a Evergreen rip off called Ryanair (?)Probably could do with another female vocal though a la Ann-Marie/Livvy maybe on keyboards ? But all in all v.v. good ....they could go far

OK......the silly season has started from tomorrow:

2nd Gotthard, JBs
4th Frank Dunnery, Bristol
5th Magnum, Bristol
