Well, I just saw Rush this past weekend and they were very entertaining, as usual.

Ill with jealousy here, Paul. Although it's only last October when they were over here, I'd quite happily have them tour here once a year, as bands like Y&T, and even Journey seem to be doing nowadays. But on past form it could well be another 4-5 years before we get them back.

Re: What's Your Next Gig ?
...and to answer the original post;-
After Tesla last night at JBs, it's Queensryche at Wolverhampton Civic on Wednesday night (18th), Journey in the same venue on Sunday 22nd, Iron Maiden at Twickers on July 5th, and then the Cambridge Rock Fest and Magenta at Crewe Limelight to round the month out.
I currently have nothing lined up for August, though, what's gone wrong there?

Re: What's Your Next Gig ?
Very good. Obviously not the same as back in the day but the songs were great, the energy level was good, MT is an enigmatic and charismatic as ever and the band did a more than decent job of recreating the classic WL sound on the older songs.

Re: What's Your Next Gig ?
Yes. The seasonal gig gremlins strike again (as they always do in January too). I've currently got just the 3 gigs in August. Don't worry - the gremlins are saving themselves up to cause gig clash calender havok in October and November again no doubt.

Re: What's Your Next Gig ?
As if to reinforce my point, and please I'm not trying to upset anyone here,I would genuinely out of the 17 replies so far only wish to go to see Thea Gilmore,Breathing Space and Magenta. My we are an eclectic forum...and thank goodness for that I say.
( I dare say I wouldn't get too many accompanying me from said forum members to see Messrs. Clapton & Young,Joan as PW,or Delorentos...so fair does !!)

Re: What's Your Next Gig ?
I forgot one.
On Friday night, the 20th, I'm going to see Touchstone and Black Bonzo at the Little Civic in Wolverhamton. Two points of interest, firstly, it's a Classic Rock Society gig; while the CRS have ventured away from South Yorkshire to stage gigs a couple of times, this is the first time they've held one in the Home of Rock, the West Midlands , so I hope it's a success for them.
Secondly, Touchstone beat The Reasoning for the CRS 'Best New Band' award this year, and as someone who's been hugely impressed by The Reasoning, I'll be very interested to see what Touchstone have to offer.
