Yep, same guy (minus the English accent!). Saw him live a couple of months back in Bristol (Fleece), great voice and tons of stage presence. Really unassuming as well. At the start of the show he said "I'd just like you to know I wrote all of these songs. Most artists don't have to justify themselves like that, but I'm just 'that guy off the TV'".

You old romantic Rach. Actually thats not a suprise as thats pretty much a prerequisite for us Journey fans isn't it?
As far as the Skid Row lyrics - could have chosen pretty much any lines from that song. Look forward to singing it at Dudley and Bloodstock later in the week........

...and such... Most Journey lyrics have such an uplifting effect for me... They make me feel really good.

Enjoy Bloodstock BTW. It's on the weekend of my birthday which would have been a great way to celebrate it! ...Seb Bach and MA on one bill? Shouldn't be missed should it really?

Oh and did I ever mention the music of Journey!? Of course it's not just the lyrics but the combination of the music AND the lyrics that send shivers down my spine. At the risk of sounding too pretentious, kinda puts life in perspective and makes everything worth living for--Know what I mean?

36 - that seems really old when I type it, don't feel (or behave) that old!.

I've always been a sucker for a good lyric (almost an Eric Martin album title that, and yes, I'm a sucker for one of those too). When the lyric and the music both combine perfectly it becomes something magical. This is something both MA and Journey manage to do with alarming regularity.
