Re: K-Drama: 미우나 고우나 (Likable or Not)

The only thing that keeps me going right now is that I know this is the usual formula. Disgusting, annoying, bratty people irritate the heck out of us, then change and we love them.

So far, the least likable in my opinion is Sua. The Drama Queen (Miae) is all about herself, but she isn't constantly rude and arrogant to the extreme to everybody around her. It doesn't help that I personally dislike the face and expressions of "Sua," while I don't find the DQ actress so unattractive.

I'm liking Baekho more and more, while I'm disliking his mother's actions more and more. I cannot stand the old storyline that Dongji is making herself the household slave to get in her MIL's good graces. I'm surprised Dongji doesn't dismiss the maid and just take over all the housework! I know it's the Korean way but, frankly, I don't blame Sua for calling Dongji "ajumma," since she is acting like the maid in serving Sua. If any family member is going to serve the others, seems to me it should be Sua. But I guess a DIL is automatically the family slave in that culture (at least in traditional times).

Maybe Vet Girl and the Plastic Surgeon will get together after Seonjae dumps her and goes to Sua.

pooka, regarding Sua….I hope it’s sooner than she expects! Image

Oh—no! nsheldon, do you really-really think Sua will go through “transformation” and become “a lovely-king woman”!!!! Image

I guess I have stick with the drama to see that transformation taking place or she getting the lesson sooner!
(hoping for the sooner!) Image

I would like to see vet girl fight for her man when it comes time for that but of course she will be fighting not only against Sua but also Sounjae's mother who we all know would be pleased beyond description to be connected to that wealthy family.
I think if Sua is to make a transformation, it will come from the influence of Baekho and not Sounjae.

One thing for sure, Sua is ballsy!!. She tells Seonjae she is after him!!!Image....That was funny!

I’m still trying to get myself familiar with who is who and what is what in this drama……

Pardon my French…Bong Mansu’s Food Company is called Bonjour (as in good day) and his daughter’s name is BongSua as in Bonsoir???--- and she just got back from Paris??? Good evening, and good night to you too....

And Dongji’s son is Baek-ho—that’s white tiger – as in one of the 4 gods in BYJ’s drama “Legend”??

I wonder if all the cast names have some funny meanings just like in ”Chill Sisters”. Wasn’t there some kind of hoopla about that……????

Oh~pandapop….you—are—just—hilarious….. Image Image Image with those names….just awesome findings!

Not only did she tried to claim her “prize”…she had a nerve to respond to his somewhat confirmed statement of …… “I do have someone I like and you are just my customer”

AND she said….. “well, we’ll see about that”!!!! yikes—she has tagged her man! Image Image

Good comment, curly carrot, you say from Baekho and not from Sounjae—hun!? Image
Ver—rrrry interesting!!? Image

I for one do not like the stereotype of the totally burned marriage couple such as we see in Danpung and Seonjae's parents - they are just pure cliche', the nosy and superficial and scheming housewife and the husband who only treats here like a servant and does not ever show any affection for her - how can Danpung and Seonjae not realize what kind of parents they have?

Re: K-Drama: 미우나 고우나 (Likable or Not)

I like Baekho and Dan. That's about it. I also don't like how Baekho's mother is allowing herself to be the slave trying to win points. All that will do is get her to be treated MORE of a slave!

I think both SUa and grandma are incredibly low class in showing how rude they are. I can't stand either of them and when Sua comes on the screen I can barely watch. I think it's pretty predictable and that we will eventually see Sua as a sweet loving girl. But I don't want her to get that guy! She doesn't deserve to have anything she is trying to take from someone else!! Not that I think the Fund guy 'belongs' to vet girl. I just don't think Sua should get the guy, knowing he is with someone else.

ALso, Sua only went after him because he wouldn't give her the time of day.

Sua reminds me of Mchill in Chill Princesses. I never liked Mchil and never changed my mind, even when they tried to present her as hardworking and diligent. She took her sister's boyfriend, on purpose, to hurt her sister. Sua knows this guy is with someone else and she doens't care.

Not really attached to this drama...

I like this drama, from the music to the characters, I think this is better than "high as sky - the last one" the music very happy, and is not childish like the last one.

Tsnowice: It's nice to hear from you. You don't post as often as you used to. I'm glad you're still around.

I like this one better than Sky/Earth but that isn't saying a lot. I thought Sky/Earth was boring. It had it's moments and I did cry when LB and Jisu married. I ended up liking Eunhu too (how do they get me to do that???).

I really do think they will make me like Sua in the end.... I'm so dang wishy washy about those things!! I want Fund guy to tell her he's in love and to stop bothering him. But she wouldn't even hear that and he isn't convincing enough when he does say anything to her..

Hi, everyone. I've been reading some of your posts, but I just can't get interested in this one. I'm hoping that by episode 65 or so (LOL) it will grab me.

The girl playing Sua sure has the sneer down pat--she's very good.
