Re: K-Drama: 미우나 고우나 (Likable or Not)
hyena:
If memory serves me correctly, the drama you call your first was also my first. It was called “Dear Encounter,” and starred Lee Min-young as Yewon, the girl who got kidnaped. Since I came in toward the end of the story, I was never clear what was happening. I recall that there was some political campaign involved as well. Since KoreanWiz doesn’t have a cast of characters for this one, I have no idea who else was in it. Like you, I got hooked.
Interestingly, the very next daily drama, “More Than Words Can Say,” also featured Lee Min-young, although not in the lead. In addition, she has recently been in the news, both times for assault. Last year, her brand new husband bashed her pretty hard. They quickly got divorced. This year, she did the bashing, a girl who was jumping claim.
An historical drama was going on during the weekend while “Dear Encounter” was playing. It was about the founding of the Choson (Yi) dynasty, covering a period just before the one in the current “Great King Sejong.” I can’t recall the title, something like “The King and His Ladies.”

Re: K-Drama: 미우나 고우나 (Likable or Not)
Pleiad, that's just what I remember--the next drama was More Than Words Can Say--I learned a lot about korean culture from that one. I also came into the baby-switching drama late, and I've never figured out what it was called, so thanks for the title. I don't remember the girl at all, just the guys! I do remember the grandma who instigated the whole thing--her grandchild was the girl, and she couldn't stand the thought of not having a grandson.
Well, our dear Sua is acting true to her nature, isn't she? Gee, I was mad at that guy in the store "she's a VIP customer, so if you'll pay the charges, we'll forget it." Another enabler. Sua needs comeuppance, but when, oh when, will she get it??

Re: K-Drama: 미우나 고우나 (Likable or Not)
Just when I start to feel a "twinge" of sympathy for the Brat, she proves my point...that she has NO redeeming qualities & I HATE her
Why does she insist on messing with Jiyeong & when is Jiyeong going to stand up for herself & stop taking all that crap from that b****?? My ONE hope, left for the drama, is that Jiyeong give that Brat the beating of her life!! That's all I want now!! Just SOOO fed up with how Jiyeong allows that witch to walk all over her & physically abuse her!! FIGHT BACK, Jiyeong!!
Kind of felt a bit of sympathy for the doc, who now appears to be out of the show, by leaving for the States. He seems to genuinely love Danpung but went "overboard" & was too possessive & jealous.
What was with Dallae, basically, telling Sonya to stop seeing Dalhyeon Much as I like Miae, I don't think Dallae had ANY business with telling Sonya that!!
--- Nam Sang-Mi...my favorite K-drama actress & a BEAUTIFUL woman!!
Chae Rim...my 2nd favorite K-drama actress & gorgeous!!

Re: K-Drama: 미우나 고우나 (Likable or Not)
Just finished watching tonights episode and yelling at the TV for Jiyeong to beat the crap out of that b----. I cannot believe that she took more abuse from that b----!!!!! When is Jiyeong going to get pissed-off enough to deck her? Come on, I don't know of to many women who would put up with this. After the first time, some serious butt-kicking would have taken place and Sua would have gotten the message.
Another thing that set me off, why is Dan crying that Doc is leaving? She never loved him and called off the engagement. Not that I am a fan of the Doc. but the tears, come on.
As you can probably tell, I was not happy with tonights episode. I will continue to watch the show, if only to see Sua & Jerk get knocked down a few notches.

K-Drama: 미우나 고우나 (Likable or Not)
Lexo7, you and I seem to be on the same page as far as Jiyeong is concerned and taking this abuse from the b****.

Re: K-Drama: 미우나 고우나 (Likable or Not)
I'm with you all on Jiyeong! How about that scene at the restaurant when Sua shoved her twice and she was all over the floor? I would pick-up a chair and throw it on her - if I were Jiyeong! I don't believe in being too nice and feeling some guilt on meeting someone else's husband if there was a valid reason. That is the reason why Sua keeps on doing what she is doing to Jiyeong - because she allows her.
Although I didn't watch the whole episode (I was switching from Ch. 18 to 44), I saw the ugly ones! Yes, why is DP crying over the doctor's departure? And why is Dallae interfering with Sonya's feelings?
Loved the last scene! Ujin calling Songjae by his name - Na Songjae!! Put a leash on your wife!!!

K-Drama: 미우나 고우나 (Likable or Not)
and that is kind of disrespectful, is it not? Like, normally he would address him as sechanim or something of that sort? It looked to me like Seonjae was shocked by this in two ways: the way he was addressed, and what Ujin was saying about his wife. If we also think that he just came back from dragging her away from a guy in a bar, he might also be thinking that Ujin is referring to that...
I am one of the few who kinds ol likes the sob.. I think he is despicable, but I also think that he is trying to love Sua..
