Although granny's motives in having Dongji prepare the memorial foods were wrong, I don't believe Dongji's offering to her husband to do the preparations was. She seemed to be sincere in her desire to make her husbands life peaceful.

What is with all of these people? First the Doc pushes Dan into dating then he convinces the parents that Dan should marry him and not even Dan's parents talk this over with her. When she say's she wants to postpone the engagement they jump all over her and tell her how disappointed they are with her!!!!!Dan just needs to come out and tell eveyone she does not love Doc and does not want to marry him. End of conversation.
As far as granny goes, someone needs to tell her off. Why does everyone put up with her c--p and her son, Mansu is a momma's boy. He really does not defend his wife all that much.
I really hope to see some good changes soon.

I agree with you about the Dr. here. In the first episodes, when he first met DP after DP's friend introduced them, he was pushy. He wanted to go out with her again, but she was reluctant. She was going to say no, but I think he talked her into seeing him again. No burden, he said.
Then when he sees DP pushing him away again, he would do something that would make her hard to refuse. Giving her the ring was another unexpected step because to DP, they are really at that stage yet. But the Dr. was being insecure about BH, so the Dr. gave her the ring. She never ever wore that ring, but the Dr. used his mother's short stay in Korea as an excuse and forced a formal engagement date out of DP's mom. When the Dr. knew he wasn't getting anywhere with DP, he went to work on her parents--playing chess with her dad and complimenting on Mrs. Na's cooking.
Although I think DP could have been more forceful about saying NO to the Dr., under the circumstance, I understand why DP went along with the engagement. DP has never really experience love so she was waiting for it to happen between her and the Dr. When the Dr.'s kiss really repulsed her, she finally understood that she doesn't have any love for the Dr. As soon as she understood this, she proceeded to call off the engagement.
I wonder how DP will finally get rid of the Dr. He doesn't look like he is going away any time soon. It's a long wait until Monday night!

About JY and Ujin, I don't think JY is ready for another relationship. Even when we (the audience) all know that Ujin is the perfect guy for her, it doesn't stop her from feeling for SJ. She is resisting SJ because of what he has done to her family (her dad kneeling in front of SJ, etc...), not because she has learned to let him go. She still loves him and she just can't allow another person to take his place.

-As wrong as DP was to not let psycho doc know where he stood from the beginning, I can't believe his insistence on the engagement  Come on, dude, she's not the only girl in town!! Speaking as a man...again...I would find it "pathetic" to hang on to a girl who wants to cancel the engagement & ran away from a kiss!! It's almost like he's OBSESSED with DP than in love with her  As far as BH, if he was serious about forgetting DP he should accept that co-worker's advances....if nothing else, it might drive DP into a "jealous rage", LOL!!!
-Wonder what, if anything, the mothers of DP & psycho doc are going to do, to make sure the engagement still goes on?? You know they're not just going to take it, without trying something??

Creep's mother has more class and decent, in a way; and I can tell she has a feel of what is going on between DP and the creep. I remember in a previous episode when creep told his mom they should attend the wedding of Songjae, and the mother responded - "you are getting ahead of yourself again - this is not how parents meet". And she was also worried knowing DP hasn't worn the ring either. So if DP's mom wanted to do something just to go ahead with the engagement, creep's mother would probably not go along with her - I hope!!
I missed last nite's episode again - it's Friday - can't argue with my grandson on what he wants to watch!!

Sua, Grams, Jerk, Jerk, add his mom, the 5h albatross. Jerk has no place interfering Dan's life, she is making a good move. I see things getting very bad for BH and Dan's dept. at Bonjour, as well as for Ujin. I see Jerk torching that place. I think Ujin will get his his head chopped off (from a perpective of employment) first. I don't think he can fire his sister and BIL.

this is just something running through my mind knowing that Songjae took Ujin's employment records: is he going to get rid of Ujin - because Jiyeong is now going out with him? if he does and Jiyeong finds out - would Jiyeong beg Songjae to allow Ujin back at Bonjour? Will Songjae use Ujin's job as leverage to get Jiyeong back? Ahhh!! I am really gonna get upset if this happens!! I JUST HOPE NOT!!

i suppose it hasn't taken long for Seonjae's calculating coolness to begin to deteriorate and show signs of losing control...not a good quality for someone in upper management. Will he discover that the language and wisdom of the heart does play a significant role in wise decisions and depending strictly on the head and material and societal gain (regardless of the consequences) is a sure grave that you dig yourself? Will he accept the consequences of his earlier actions and drop his schemes to keep suitors away from Jiyeoung and protect the integrity of DAn's department before it is too late?
Won't it be a crushing blow and slap in the face to Granny if BH "saves the day" and not her beloved new son-in-law?
