IMO - Dan is just like her jerk brother. Social status is better than what the heart says. From the previews, seems like she is ready to give in to the creep.
Also from the previews, seems like trouble is on its way between Songjae and Sua - courtesy of Miae. And between Sonya and Dallyeon too!

If the practice of arranged marriages is still the norm in Korea, that is most likely one reason why the divorce rate is so high-children forced to marry someone they don't like or love, or they never learn to love the person even after a long time together. In short, the relationship just didn't work out, no matter what.
I see insecurity now in Jerk's expression and body language when Daddy Bonjour said he wanted to promote Baekho. (didn't see the first 10 min. last night), but I remember in the preview day before, that Daddy told Jerk an in-law is still your senior.
Re. the Four Stooges-Granny, Mr. and Mrs. Jerk, Doc Creep-let's line them all up and knock all their heads together reeeeaaally hard-that should knock some sense into all of them...just a thought......

Viyra, I don't believe Danpung is a social climber nor is she focused on status. She has worked extremely hard and succeeded in a male dominated business and culture on her own merits. She would reject anything that taints her achievement or threatens it. Hence she does not want to have her family connection to the planning manager (Seon Jae) be known at work lest people credit her achievements to nepotism. She lights up Baek Ho on the rooftop because she attributes his drunken declaration of love to an underlying disrespect for her authority. Baek Ho has fallen in love with the one woman for whom his status as the son of the company president is a disadvantage since Danpung would not want to date the son of the president for the same reason she does not want her relationship to Seon Jae known at work. For Danpung, falling in love with someone who works for her is unacceptable, it threatens to undermine all she has achieved on at least three levels ( leads to insubordination from her staff, loss of her authority, leaves her open to charges she succeeded because of nepotism and would antagonize both her family and her prospective in-laws). In the previews Danpung says Hyeonu is a good man.
I think she is due for a rude awakening about that, but Danpung says "I can make it work with Hyeonu" in the same way someone in a failing relationship says this-because they think they have to-not because they want to and out of a certain sense of desperation. Everything Danpung thinks she should want is reflected in Hyeonu. Every value she has and the things she does want are reflected in Baekho. She loves Baekho already but is not ready to face up to it yet.
I'm with Baek Ho. Given the choice of transfering and not seeing Danpung or staying and seeing her everyday and being unable to do anything about his feelings its better to stay. Han Ji Hye has a very firm grasp of who Danpung is and is playing her very well. BTW Han Ji Hye is also the name of the excellent child actress in Rosemary and Second Proposal not to get to far off thread here.

Today, the divorce rate has more to do with getting married too quickly for the wrong reasons.
I agree Danpung is not a social climber. She has worked very hard and has achieved on her abilities. She is very much into the family structure. She will probably end up with Baekho and not the Dr Jang. However, it is not a match that would produce a lasting marriage.

Yes, Miae is the girl who married Minki, the klutzy olderbrother of Jaemin, who married Moonhee. I was always rooting for Jy and BH, not it can be with Dan marrying Doc. BTW, I think Dan will eventually run Jerk and sua out of the house, and thus end their marriage. I think that BH's days at Grams house are numbered, and same with DH if he really hooks up with Sonya. I think that Ujin will stay in, just to be a block for Jerk, and probably have an intent to steal JY from BH. However, I thik that Jaebok only wants to give his daughter to Ujin, more than BH.

I didn't say Dan is a social climber. She already has established her social status and didn't want to have any association with somebody below her status, even tho' she feels something for that someone who's not on the same status as her. With the way it's going, she might end up like her brother who sacrificed real love for good or better life.

Songjae is still in love with Jiyeong; he never loved Sua. I remember when Sua asked him if he loves her - his response was "I chose to marry you". Songjae is arrogant - he pushes the buttons that irritate him.
I like the Ujin character. Although I don't like Songjae's mom, I think she is a very good actress.

Ujin is a great catch for any girl, but JY is still recovering from her heartbreak. The girl just can't switch her heart to Ujin at this point in time. I think with time, she may come to love Ujin. But the thing is with these daily shows, the writer can write her to end up with any guy.
Whatever happen to that dog owner? I thought he was going to be JY's new love interest. But he just disappeared from the show.
I read on Soompi that the actor who plays Ujin graduated from Korea's most prestiges university--the Seoul University. They said he's a physics major or something! So he is smart, tall, and handsome. Some guys have it all!
Also, in one of the entertainment shows, the actor who plays SJ tells the audience that he and the actress who plays Sua are not bad people, they are just acting! Funny!
The marriage between Sua and SJ will not be a peaceful one. The writer would have to write problems into their marriage to make SJ's decision to marry Sua a bad one.
That doctor DP is dating is creepy. That actor does not look like a doctor!
This is one of the better daily dramas I've seen in recent years. I like the fact that they are talking about what makes the conditions/qualifications for a person to be a good marriage potential. But underlying it all, love has to be present.
I see lots of bumpy obstacles ahead for DP and BH. BH is what most people would deem as a bad marriage prospect. The only thing he has going for him (as a good marriage candidate) is the fact that he's the stepson of the CEO of Bonjour. That can really hurt a guy's pride! It's a good thing that BH has a good sense of self, or at least, he has learned to ignore all the negativities around him and moves ahead in his own way.
