hey guys i'm a new member ^^; i really like this drama and follow it everyday but i missed the first 20 minutes tonight!! i really want to know what happened between hyeonu and danpung (it seems u guys call him psycho among others lol). i really dislike him too, he's srsly the NOT in Likeable or Not lol. and did something progress with ujin and jiyeong?

Nsheldon, I'd be just as happy to see Jiyeong alone. You and I both know, "who needs a man?" But, she's young enough to still think she does. Seonjae should never get to reconcile with her. I think he's a very big creep an that he's going to pay dearly for it in the end. So's his greedy mother.
I think there's a history with Ujin that we don't know about. Jiyeong seems a little uncomfortable every time he appears. We'll see what comes of it. I think he's on the up and up though. He seems honest enough to me. I like him too.
Dan isn't going to put up with that little creepy, stalker doctor for much longer. For one thing knowing Baekho is in love with her is going to continue to seep into her subconscious and she's going to react to that. The fact that she's already attracted to him will help not to turn it into a negative. Even if she fights it initially, I believe, eventually she'll succumb and get rid of that little sicko. Everyone was talking about Baekho's mouth a while back, but this guys mouth really disgusts me. The big bottom lip just just hanging there. The crazy smile. YUK!!!! 
He does have all of the earmarks of an abuser. Very well put Bugov, all of the signs are there. Danpun is not a shrinking violet and though she let all of this go too far, I don't believe for one minute that she'll marry this guy.
We have a long way to go. Some of my predictions are; Baekho is Mansu's real son and if Seonjae is still at Bonjour he'll be answering to Baekho. And very unhappy about it.
Seonjae is going to find being married to that crazy girl is a very bad choice and may end it. Especially if Baekho is the president's son and he knows he (Seonjae) won't be getting the company handed over to him. It wouldn't be worth putting up with that awful girl then.
Danpun's mother is going to think she's won lotto, her greedy obnoxious son married to the daughter and Danpun marrying the President's son. She won't like not being able to look down her nose at Dongji anymore, once Baekho becomes successful. I know he'll do well, because he's smart and hardworking and his value will come through. Her son will have to take a back seat to him eventually.
How it'll work itself out? Maybe Sua and Seonjae get a divorce and opens the door for the other couple the fortune teller spoke of.
No idea. I really do believe that Baekho is the son and Gram will have to change her tune. Being a male, she may love the idea of having a grandson. Or not. Who knows?? I don't think Sua will like the competition at all.

I would like to see Sonya (Eva Propiel) be instrumental in reconciling Maie and Dalheon. They both seem to be growing up and remarrying would be good for their son as well. It will take several episodes for this to occur but that would be my vote for that scenario. I agree there definitely was a history between Jiyoung and Ujin and not just classmates/senior/junior. He probably had a crush on her back in college but she was so in love with Seonjae. I don't blame her caution and hesitancy at this point in time. you are so right about Danpung's mother...gifts and money will buy her silence.

Wasn't the woman who kind of "moved in" with that family (one of the female supporting player's?) the actress that played Seowun (I believe that was her name), the curly- haired, adopted daughter/housekeeper who married the father of Yi Pilmo's character, and was mother to "Rose" on the "River" series? It seems like the actress last night had the same expressions and delivery of her lines as the one I described. Anyone else notice her?

thank u very much for the warm welcome  i think i was able to catch up now hehe.
wow i cant believe they set the date while ignoring danpung's request to just slow it down. their mom is really greedy. i hope seonjae really gets fired from the company anyways.
ujin is really adorable! he is completely the opposite of seonjae. he is very honest and pure. i dont think he has any motive at all. seonjae is a big jerk really. i hope sua gets fed up with him and really realize that he married her for the company. i cant wait to watch him suffer lol.

Danpung has to know the expections and "rules" regarding dating/marriage with in-laws. This will add to her anxiety as we all know she, too, has feelings for baekhoa. Will he denounce his relationship with the Na's so that he can be with Danpung?
Sua is the worst. I wonder if Jiyeong, deep in her consciousness, knows of the personality/values difference between Seonjae and Sua and she is quiety waiting for Seonjae to realize his greed and mistake and return to her, his first love?

lex07, Koreans are very concerned about being polite and their culture is built to a large extent on Confucianism. I am not an expert in any way, except I've read a fair amount. Respect is based on age and status and money has a lot to do with status. So while Dan may be younger than one or two of her employees, she has the status to tell them what to do. The doctor has greater status than she does given his job and it sounds like the wealth of his parents (and may be older? don't know for sure, he looks like a teenager), so she must be polite to him. Also, he's male, higher status than a female. Her sister-in-law--I haven't watched enough to know, but usually the new sister-in-law has the lowest status in the family. So Dan could tell her off based on Dan's status as the ruling sister-in-law. Of course, people in k-dramas do things to heighten the drama! And real people follow their consciences' although it's very difficult to go against parents' decisions.
I've read that many Koreans go through their day with a lot of stress as they work to make sure they don't offend anyone based on these age/status concerns. In Coffee Prince, when Ha Rim met new people, the first thing he asked was "how old are you?" Although I'm not sure Ha Rim did it as a status/respect thing!
I hope Seonjae leaves Sua, but I don't want Jiyeoung to take him back--he's a jerk. He basically hid his relationship with her for years (he knew his parents wouldn't approve his relationship otherwise they'd have known all about her), and when push came to shove, he dumped her. However, all will be rosy when this one ends, especially when Sua becomes pregnant. Everyone will think she's the cat's meow then. LOL He won't leave her, he'll love her dearly.

Thanks, hyena. I know the Koreans to be a very polite & proud people but when watching these dramas, I sometimes tend to let the "American" in me take over & think that way, in terms of reactions to certain situations, instead of what Koreans would do or say. However, I stand by my feelings...to see Danpung tell off the psycho doc & end up with Baekho!!
I agree...I don't want to see Jiyeong go back to Seonjae & despite the impressions of first love, curly carrott, I hope your scenario doesn't happen. I want Jiyeong to wind up with Ujin & happy, instead of dwelling on Seonjae!! Besides, how could she ever trust him or take him back, after what he did to her??

Think Seonjae will soon regret his decision!!
Will Danpung continue to let her mom dictate her "dating habits" or will she FINALLY stand up for herself & tell doc to go away, while admitting that she likes Baekho?? Amazing how she's able to run her own employees & tell off her bratty sis-in-law but when it comes to getting the psycho doc out of her life, she freezes up & let's him walk all over her
