oh my! seems like a good episode last nite! I had to pick-up my sister at the airport so I missed this one. tonite I have to fight with a 4-year old grandson again so I can use his TV - it's going to be k-drama versus noggin' tonite!!

I wonder if there will be any bottles of soju laying around that will help our couple out in regard to opening up some of their true feelings for each other?

This did wonders for Archie and "The Meathead" in one of the most poignant episodes of All in the Family.

I like JY so much better than Sua. Actually I don't like Sua at all - well, I really dislike Sua. But while I have some sympathy for JY and absolutely no sympathy for Sua it did occur to me that they seem to be two sides of the same coin.

Sua does not care about anyone but herself, whether in love or not. i don;t think she is capable of love because of her self-centeredness. Any frustration she feels coming from SJ is because she cannot control hom or be the center of his world.

On the other hand, JY cares for everybody but herself! Her selflessness made her a perfect candidate for this kind of treatment. she is always there, always available and always caring about the well-being of someone other than herself.

I don't think Sua will basically change. She will be frustrated, sad and mean unless she always has her way. The character, in my opinion, has been written so as to be unredeemable. Even if she adopts a 'nicer' attitude toward JY in the future (depending on how the whole thing with SJ plays out) or to Dongji or BH, it will not be because she has had a real change in character.

JY seems to be changing for the better - but that is only insofar as she is learning not to let herself be emotionally used. She is still very kind hearted and sweet and if not carefull she will remain a punching bag, but I think her chances for growth are much better than Sua's.

I can hardly wait to see the expression on creep's face when he finds out where Danpung is. What is Danpung doing at the freezer, anyway?

LEX07. your summaries are appreciated. I enjoy reviewing each episode. Besides, I don't want to read ahead of the latest one I saw and run into a lot of spoilers. so your recaps indicate where we're up to in my area.
It'll be interesting when Danpung learns the relationship between Baekho and the Bonjour president, and when Baekho learns that "the jerk" is not only Sua 's fiance and also Danpung's brother. And when Miae finds out that her housemate is her ex's new interest.
So Jiyeung reluctantly decides to discard her ring, and then cannot retrieve it. The plot thickens. I bet that one day we'll see Seongjae placing it back on her finger, and he'll be wearing his hand-knitted vest.

On Sua being unable to change... Has anybody ever seen a K-drama where a Sua-type brat did NOT change by the end? She has been so horribly spoiled. But it is her grandmother's doing more than anything else. Look at how spoiled Granny is acting in not being able to control the honeymoon residence.

If Sua were not capable of changing and of loving, she wouldn't be going through this agony with Seonjae. Her feelings are a lot more than just not getting her way. She's really in love with a man for the first time. But everything she has been taught by her grandmother is backfiring in the real world when it comes to love and Seonjae. It's very difficult for her, but she is giving in to him little by little. She will change. She might lose him back to Jiyeong down the road a piece, but I think she will learn what it is to love and be self-sacrificing. I have hope for Sua.

Dan - Now there's another matter. I always find it absolutely unbelievable that a woman like Dan doesn't think about love in the context of life and marriage. (Hasn't she ever seen a romantic movie?!!) I have yet to meet a single human on this planet who hasn't experienced infatuations (or love) sometime as a teenager—or even as an adolescent (or younger) child. Her shock at not thinking of love in marrying Hyeonu is just a silly, cheap literary device to stick in Dan's character, IMO. If she were a real person, she would have discouraged his attentions a long time ago. She has always detected that Hyeonu was pushing for a romantic relationship regardless of how many times he used the word "friends." She was always uncomfortable with his full-court press but then she would just give up and go along with it until his next move. And here we are: a marriage proposal. What an unexpected shock! emoticon

I agree with nchristi on Dan, I think that is why she turned him down, despite all his hoopla and sending the ring home with her. However, this freezer was just something that happend, and it seems like where NH will just go away. Also, his mother's anger at Dan not saying yes enforced my long shot guess that she will turn evil and will go in a path of destruction, like Granny is now, hoping to destroy Sua's (fake) marriage.
