Re: K-Drama: 미우나 고우나 (Likable or Not)
I missed last nite's episode. So did a fight ever ensue between Baekho and his future in-law?

Sorry about not posting a reply about last night's episode. Unfortunately, Baekho did not punch Seonjae, though he grabbed him by his jacket & threatened to. Seonjae told him that now that he was marrying Sua & becoming part of the family, it would be better to get along. When Baekho told Miae that he didn't punch Seonjae, she seemed disappointed...telling Baekho that he wouldn't get fired for starting trouble because he's the President's son!!
Jiyeong finally called home, saying that she needed time alone & would come back, good as new. Apparently, she's staying at Dallae's home, by the beach, I think. Seonjae actually went looking for her, assuming he knew where she would be and I thought he would find her, but didn't and just started screaming, "Jiyeong, forget me." Hopefully, she listens!!
Miae wanted to visit Chan...for his birthday...but Dalhyeon said NO!! However, Chan called Miae and was crying about wanting to see her, when Sua walked in on Chan & took the phone. Not knowing that they were talking to each other , Sua tells Miae the address of the house & when Miae arrives, Mansu's mom answers the door but Sua comes down right away & Miae and Sua recognize each other, as the show ends
Talk about "fireworks" for Monday's show!! What's going to happen? Will Miae get thrown out by Sua & her Grandma? Will Sua get revenge another way? Unfortunately, Miae's beating on Sua didn't have an effect on her "brattiness" & I have a feeling that Sua will do everything to stop Miae from having time with Chan. Of course, that would only make Miae angrier at Sua and could lead to more "fisticuffs" between the two!!
--- Nam Sang-Mi...my favorite K-drama actress & a BEAUTIFUL woman!!
Chae Rim...my 2nd favorite K-drama actress & gorgeous!!

Re: K-Drama: 미우나 고우나 (Likable or Not)
thank you lex07 for the recap! Sonjae loves Ji-yeong - in spite of what he did to her. I still wonder if his decision to marry into the Bonjour family is for his mother's sake or for himself. If he is doing it for his own, then he is really a jerk!

Re: K-Drama: 미우나 고우나 (Likable or Not)
Two things I didn't expect from Friday's episode.
First, I was surprised at Baekho's reaction to finding out Seonjae is Jiyeong's dumper. He is upset, but his reaction was basically, Well, what can be done now? It is what it is. Which, in fact, is a sensible view. If somebody wants to break an engagement and marry another person, what is there to do? It may be unfair and unkind and selfish and .... whatever, but trying to force someone to marry a person isn't good for either one in the long term. Beating up Seonjae may feel good at the moment, but that will only land Baekho in legal hot water, or embarrass the Bonjour family. (I'm going to refer to that family as the "Bonjours" because I can't remember all their different names.)
Second, I was surprised that Seonjae actually went looking for Jiyeong and allowed his feelings to come out. I think he loves Jiyeong on some level—but not enough to make him choose her! At the moment, he loves himself and his financial status more. He certainly is not in love with Sua, yet choosing to marry her for a lifetime is a huge choice that he weighed carefully. (How important does that make Jiyeong to him?) Besides the pure greed of it all, I wonder if Seonjae is planning on being Mansu's successor, as Mansu's son-in-law?
What didn't surprise me is Dongji's attitude. She seems an upright, principled person (or maybe I'm influenced by this actress' past roles), but it tries my patience in watching her always trying to calm and make go away every injustice for the sake of not stirring up any trouble in Ms. Choe's eyes. I was encouraged, however, by Baekho's rather annoyed response to his mother: You always say that.
Of course, Mansu is just the opposite and I respect him for that. He tries to keep peace, but he stands up for people and for what is right, too. No sweeping it all under the rug, pretending everything is just hunky dory. I like Mansu a lot—he's a basically kind, generous, happy guy who loves people. He does a pretty good job of navigating around his ill-tempered, unpleasant mother.
I'm glad Chan is around. He will be the greatest force to break down the old gal's hardened walls. He's such a happy, sweet kid, isn't he? I love how he kissed Granny on the cheek. He looked so cute in his school uniform—an expensive looking school uniform, too. The Bonjour's must be paying for his schooling these days.
Should be some fireworks tomorrow night with Miae having shown up unexpectedly and uninvited at the Bonjour Mansion for Chan's birthday dinner. I hope Dalhyeon sticks with Sonya. I don't like to see families split up, but Miae doesn't show much familial love towards her own son. She's probably at the Bonjour Mansion only to make a connection to get money from Mansu, since Dongji has already turned her down.
There's going to be a lot of pressure on Dalhyeon when he comes home and finds Miae there. But Sua and Miae coming face-to-face at the door will be the first explosion. Unless both of them hide everything so Granny and others don't know what's up.

K-Drama: 미우나 고우나 (Likable or Not)
I think Miae is not a good mother at all, so I don't think she was nice to go to Chan's birthday dinner.
I like to see how Sua and future mother in law working out???

Miae may not be a good mother, but she should have the ability to see her son on his birthday. Chan loves her, and she is important to him.
