So, it turns out that Seonjae's mother was trying to bribe Jiyeong out of his life and telling her that it was nobody's fault things turned out like they did, that Jiyeong was not a bad person & that if she loved Seonjae, she would let him go.
It's the most "human sincerity" I've seen from Seonjae's mom, probably ever. Of course, Jiyeong was not willing to accept it but Seonjae's mom took off from the restaurant & got into a cab before Jiyeong could give the $$ back.
Danpung & Baekho are definitely getting closer...they got back from their latest project but Baekho remembered that there was still work to be done at the office. Danpung, though had plans with her doctor friend but offered to drive Baekho back to the office. Baekho made a comment about cancelling her date, after Danpung said the job would go faster if she helped him. She did ask him to join her & the doctor for dinner and then finish work together but Baekho said no. You could tell Baekho was trying to make Danpung feel "bad" about leaving him alone...and it worked...but she still went on her date. Afterwards, Danpung takes dinner back to Baekho at the office but he's not at his desk & she leaves the dinner & a note on the desk. Baekho comes back and, immediately, goes after Danpung. He catches up to her in the lobby and tries to tell her how he feels...while, the doctor is outside, waiting for Danpung & sees Baekho run after Danpung...but the words don't come out & he tells her that she didn't bring him enough of something (forgot what it was exactly). I was really hoping he would just let Danpung know his feelings but I guess it's too soon, LOL!!
At the end, Jiyeong shows up at Seonjae's mother's home & hands back the "bribe" but Seonjae's mom asks, "Isn't it enough" & Jiyeong replies, "No, it's not enough!! I wouldn't take $10 million for Seonjae" OUCH!! Jiyeong gets up to leave to has a "nauseous moment" & the show ends with a frantic look on both Jiyeong & Seonjae's mom!! Classic moment & it looks like the "pregnancy angle" is very much alive!!
I'll add that I like Danpung & Baekho together, though I think Baekho & Jiyeong could be a cute couple but I just don't like Danpung with the doctor...something about him, I just don't like!!

Looks like Friday should be a GREAT show!! So far,
-Baekho & Danpung head to a karaoke bar, with their co-workers, for a night of drinking & singing. To everybody's surprise, Baekho can sing well (unfortunately, Danpung does not) and Baekho seems very mesmerized by Danpung while she sings. Hyeonu comes to pick up Danpung, after being told not to, and while driving, the song that Baekho song at the bar, comes on the radio station. Danpung seems to be "uncomfortable" listening to the song & asks to change the station. Seems like the feelings between the two are getting stronger & stronger, whether they deny it or not!!
-Jiyeong's dad confronts Seonjae & tells him how disappointed he is in his decision to marry for money & he wishes to punch him but won't because of Jiyeong. He then tells Jiyeong to forget about Seonjae & move on, in front of Jiyeong's aunts, and how he's sorry for not being a better father to Jiyeong. Emotional moment...which leads to Jiyeong writing a letter to her dad, saying that she's sorry for causing distress in the family & that she will forget about Seonjae, as hard as it will be. It also appears that the "pregnancy" plot is a fake and she just had stomach convulsions, due to stress! Of course, that could still change...maybe?
-Seonjae meets Sua's family, including Baekho...who is clueless about who Seonjae is. Baekho gets a call from Jiyeong about getting together, as the show ends.
On the Friday preview, Jiyeong will tell Baekho about Seonjae & start crying. Baekho says how much he wants to punch Seonjae & then sees Seonjae & Sua come togerher to the house later. Fireworks?? Probably, but the biggest fireworks might come when Miae confronts Sua at Seonjae's office, I think, and a nasty exchange will lead to a catfight!!
I really hope Miae beats the "spoiled brat" out of Sua  & that Baekho punches Seonae out!! Can't wait for tomorrow!!

Miae actually signed the contract with the deposit and went shopping. now she is remorseful because she now realized she just sold Jiyeong.
Oh!! I just hate women who don't want to give up! In the preview, Jiyeong continues to call Songjae! What for?
And ---- Baekho seems to know that Songjae is Jiyeong's boyfriend - the way he looked at Songjae when Jiyeong called him?
Yes, Danpung can't sing! That's why her boyfriend in real life, who is a singer (Lee Dong Gun) always teases her. But - she is a good dancer - while Lee Dong Gun is not.
BTW, what is the doctor trying to prove? He constantly shows up where Danpung and Baekho are - and he has an attitude!

I need some things clarified, if possible. First when did Jiyoung and Songjae spend the night together?? Anybody know what episode? I watch this every night and have missed it. I know he spent a night with Sua, though nothing happened, but never saw him out all night with Yijeoung.
Second, what money is it that Maie spent? Was it the buy-off money from Songjae's mother? I thought it was the money her brother saved for Jiyeoung's wedding. She has no conscience whatsoever, until its too late.
I don't think Baekho knows yet that Songjae is the ex-boyfriend. Last night Songjae gave him a lift to meet Jiyoung and neither of them made the connection.
The little doctor guy is digging his own grave by becoming an almost stalker. He needs to learn "NO, means NO". I find that so overbearing and a serious personality flaw.
I'm with you, viyra. I too hate women who don't know when to give up. She's been told in no uncertain terms, this creep is getting married. To someone else. While I understand her pain and I realize its all fresh in her mind and heart, she at the very least should stop calling him. She is making herself look pathetic. Even her father told her that. I do think that although it makes her family uncomfortable, she should be allowed to grieve, at least at home. I'm probably in the minority, (I usually am), but I find her character so, so boring. Still no reason for her to be treated so shabbily by that bad, greedy guy. Wait till he sees what he's traded her in for.

Can anyone tell me how much of the scenes are cut in this drama and why is it always when Sua is at Songjae's house? Last night it was the scene when Songjae's mother pulled out the basket from under the sink that Jiyeong had brought to the house. Another time it was when Sua had come down from Songjae's bedroom, the father and sister had come home to see all of the food she had bought on the living room table and then it cut to another scene where they're all sitting at the kitchen table having breakfast.
The father just found the mink stole(I think on the show aired 2 nights ago) in the bottom of the closet when the last time I remember seeing it was when it too was shoved under the kitchen sink.
I understand that Baekho's uncle has always had difficulties in life due to making bad decisions, but the scenes at the store or in the bedroom after coming home from work or getting up late for work are never cut.
Are these scenes cut because they don't want to show the father yelling at his wife all the time? He's never talked about her in a nasty way, he's only criticized her for always doing something that she knows is wrong. She couldn't even understand her husband when he asked her how she could see the fault of the character on a television drama, (character dumped his girlfriend for a woman with money)but couldn't see that she had encouraged her own son to do the same thing?
It's like reading a book, coming up on a good part of a story only to find out that the page has been ripped out.
About Jiyeong getting over her relationship with Songjae, yes she looks pitiful, but this wasn't a relationship that existed for only a year, she was with him throughout college, through his time in the military and something else according to Baekho. If she hadn't run into him at his office with Sua, she would have still been saying, "Songjae's very busy right now and when he's no longer busy with his work, he'll call me again". He had no intensions of telling her that he was marrying someone else, let alone telling her that he wanted to break up with her.
Jiyeoung has had absolute trust in Songjae because he's never lied to her in all of those years of there relationship let alone cheat on her. When you walk around being very naive and have never experienced betrayal, it can be devasting, so right now, she's walking around in denial until it will finally sink in. Her character seems to have lived a very sheltered life and outside of her family, she only had Songjae.
Hi smoochie1........the money you're asking about was the money that Songjae's mom had saved up for Danpung's wedding and she said she would ask Songjae to give her back the money after she got him married off to Sua. She first gave the money to Jiyeoung, but Jiyeoung returned it to her. Next, Miae went to see her again about Songjae and the mother forced the envelope on her then left. Miae, being selfish, then spent the money and only felt guilty after the suffering that everyone in the family started feeling because of Jiyeoung.

1) When Seonjae was first struggling with Sua's advances & his work issues (deal gone bad), he took Jiyeong away on a trip...to get away from everybody...and they stayed out all night but there was never any confirmation as to what happened. If I remember correctly, they slept in the car.
2) Miae took the buy-off money from Seonjae's mom, after Jiyeong gave it back, & used it to go shopping and was going to sign some sort of contract (not sure if she signed, though she did call them & asked to cancel the contract but was told NO) but then changed her mind after hearing Jiyeong's dad apologize, tearfully, for being a bad father to Jiyeong. She's pretty selfish & does things before thinking but I do think she has a conscience (just takes a little longer to kick in, LOL) and I like her character.
3) I also don't think that Baekho knows exactly who Seonjae is but he will soon enough.
4) I agree with everyone about Hyeonu. I just didn't like him from the beginning & he's proving to be WAY TOOO clingy & insecure about Danpung. I do think that he feels Baekho "likes" Danpung too much & any time they're together, it bothers him. But he's digging his own grave because I don't see Danpung putting up with Hyeonu's "stalking" much longer.
5) I really like Jiyeong...looks like I might be one of the few ones, though I do agree that she needs to be more outgoing & fun...but I do think she needs to move on & STOP calling that jerk. Obviously, she really liked him, for her to be "hanging on" like this, but it's starting to be pathetic & I don't want Jiyeong to be that!!

Lex07 - I SO agree about Hyeonu! This guy reminds me of the high school computer or AV club geek. He looks too young to have even gone through puberty and he is dangerously clingy and seems to have absolutely no patients since he shows up ALL the time!
The part about 'being good friends' with Danpung was sure forgotten about really fast. His dialogue is creepy too - like the time when they were walking with the ice cream cones and he said "...the only thing that would make it more perfect is if I was holding your hand." Then she gets all awkward. I get annoyed with her because even though she has expressed her lack of serious interest she is not at all forceful about it - yet she had no problem yelling at Baekho (well he is an idiot).
As for Jiyeoung and Sangjeon - they have been 'together' 10 years!? She never even met his sister? She has no idea that he has the personality of a cold fish? I do feel sorry for her - but she needs to give it a rest. If nothing happened in all that time - what did she think she was waiting for? And considering how awful his mother is, I am surprised she waited so long to even inquire about her son's dating habits. - or maybe it was just because she suddenly realized there was this cash cow called Sua?
