What is SeonJae thinking—I guess I was missing the action, pandapop!

I keep falling asleep in the middle of the show, so this drama hasn’t risen (as yet) to the level of Pure 19 or Bizarre Bunch or even Chill Sisters. The writers have a tendency to stick to stereotypes and probably that is what the Korean audience likes. It seems rather simplistic to make the rich people nasty and the not so rich sweet and nice. Apparently, this drama will follow the usual format and in the end someone will have a baby and the nasty people will be transformed.
Baeko is not my idea of a leading man (oh Yunhu, I can't wait for you to come back from your military service!) Seonjae is good-looking, but hasn't captured my interest as yet. I admire Mansu for having so much patience with his mother. He may seem like a milquetoast, but it must be very difficult dealing with his mother's nastiness especially as he loves Donji so much, but he is always respectful. The relationship between Baeko and Dan reminds me of the initial relationship between Yunhu and Gukwa, except the male/female roles are reversed. Baeko will redeem himself, and Dan will find herself falling for him. Vet girl has a sweet personality but I'd like to see her get a backbone and fight for her man, but that isn’t the Korean way. She’ll do the martyr act and let Sua get him (if that is what she thinks Soenjae wants). Do you remember when Gukwa was willing to give up Yunhu as she thought the boy was his son. Yunhu asked her if she was writing a movie script. That was a funny line! The writers did well in that scene.
Well, I am still watching (when I am not napping). I wish these dramas had good writers, or I wish I could get interested in some of the American shows!

Still me, watching other shows and discovering actors I know!1 I am now on Autumn Tale (2000) and we are talking about actors that played seven years ago. It took me a while, but the mother who runs a stew restaurant at the market (loud, brush, uncouth) is nonetheless that the actress currently playing Dongji... and you know what?She does a great job there!! I wonder why they are wasting her talent as Dongj in this one where she looks blank faced and pasty most of the time.. I understand is part of her role but still...
(also there is a much younger looking Heaven and Earth Eunha and Eunju's dad, but this is not part of this thread...)

Dongji is probably the most famous mother in Korean dramas. In all four dramas directed by one director sometime in 2004 (Winter Sonata, Autumn Tale, Spring Waltz, Summer Scent), she played mother to all. She was also in Chill Sisters and many other dramas. You name it - she's there!

I agree the writing leaves much to be desired.
It seems the writers have decided Baekho needs a reversal of character behavior so the audiences will be happy with the Dan and Baekho relationship. In life behavior doesn't change for no apparent reason. But Baekho has become a responsible citizen from being a gambling, self-centered spoiled brat who did not appreciate what his mother has done for him.
The Korean soaps follow the same formula in showing cultural behaviors and relationships.

Office mate Gyenghun ( Cider park) turns out to be a butt kisser too.—like the big supervisor. I wonder if they will tell Danpung soon about Baekho’s true identity?

All of a sudden Baekho is hurt and they show flash backs to a scene where he and Dan fall down and he winds up on top of her face to face and lips to lips!! How can they leave a scene like that out, especially if they show flashbacks to it??? Did I also miss an episode?!?!?
