K-Drama: 미우나 고우나 (Likable or Not)
I don't know why, I like this drama more than the last one "high as sky"
I think Baekho is a very nice young man, even he staying in his mom's new home and the grandma not really related, still follow the tradition, has to say hellow and good night to him. and all the help he does to his uncle , just hard to find in this world.
Hyeonu is cute looking, if I were Danpung, I would choose him, but the make up director should change his glasses, does anybody feel his frame like lady's - so curvy on the top.
and Sua's father has such heavy eyeliner make up, it is so not comfy to watch.
why the writer always make the male charactor so slow react, like last couple drama, they don't speak up, and let the girl suffer - like bizarre bunch, pure 10 etc and this one Seonjae not speak up to his mom again.
How much happier that Dongi got married? she seems to be more lonely, unhappy than before. at least she was a boss, now she just like a slave, even Sua bossy her around.

Re: K-Drama: 미우나 고우나 (Likable or Not)
Tsnowice: I’m with you on this one. I think Baekho has a heart of gold. He is clumsy sometimes, but he helps his uncle and nephew beyond the call of duty. Earlier, he was irresponsible and lost his mother’s money, but recently, he tries hard to be a good son. I like him a lot.
The plastic doctor Hyeonu is kind of weird to me. He seems like a stalker type. His glasses is funny looking, but his eyes are scary to me… I don’t wish Danpung to end up with him. But dating him is fun to watch right now.
I agree with you about Dongji. She is miserable after the marriage. She is not talking back, because her husband asks her to be patient and to work with the nasty grandma and the spoiled daughter. I wish she would just stand up and yell back at them soon. But you know, I remember her in “Chill Sisters”, where she was always screaming and yelling at her own mother. And I didn’t like her that way either…...
It’s funny that you noticed Mansu’s eye liner. I’m going to watch him carefully tonight. I haven’t noticed that at all!

Re: K-Drama: 미우나 고우나 (Likable or Not)
I don't even know what episode we're currently on, but for those interested, SillyYun at Soompi is writing up summaries, beginning with Episode 50.
At Soompi, this drama is named "I Hate You, But It's Fine." The summary for Episode 50 is found on Page 20 of the thread.
Pandapop, I can see a similarity between Baekho and the model. The general head/hair/features seem similar. I have the feeling, though, that it is not the Baekho actor. Something in the eyes and the bridge of the nose.
Speaking of Baekho, I agree that he's a guy with a heart of gold. He's a very sincere, caring guy, too. He's just young and untamed, sort of like a young mustang used to running free but now finding himself captured and put into a corral. His temper and impulses are still those of a very young guy, almost child-like sometimes.
I find Danpung's mother to be the most annoying character so far in this drama. She's such a shallow social climber who easily climbs over innocent people with her hobnail boots to get up a rung higher on the social ladder. She seems to have a flighty bird brain, but that quickly disappears when she wants to get where she's going, doesn't it? That little meeting with Jiyeong in the café was about as heartless, calculating, and cold as it gets. She actually reminded me of the character she's playing in "Daughters-In-Law" in that scene.
I guess mini-skorts are the current hot fashion in the K-dramas but I feel uncomfortable seeing all that bare skin Sua shows when she goes to Seonjae's company or the art gallery... or shopping. It just seems inappropriate in the workplace or on the street in general. It is especially odd to me when at the opposite end she's buttoned up to the neck, practically.
It was good to see Sua having to backtrack a little when she realized Dan is Seonjae's sister. I'm sure Sua will become a nice person gradually. She's already loosening up a tiny bit here and there.
I haven't finished watching last night's episode. I was enjoying Wynton Marsalis' Christmas concert (jazz) at the Lincoln Center, then switched over at 8:30-ish to Likable. Grams coming in and jumping all over Dongji and Baekho was more than I could take, so I switched back to the great jazz concert. So uplifting and fun. Such inspiring talent....

Pooka67, you are funning to feel about Sua - man in drag. I feel something not right about her, may be this is it!
I really don't like Dongji's sister in law - the one wants to be a star, and left the family.she has no shame to leave the son without any care
I love the little boy please grams well with a drawing.
I think the vet girl try be a nice character in here, but it just make her no talent for this part, she should be more aggressive then not speak up

K-Drama: 미우나 고우나 (Likable or Not)
Yesterday was a good show - Seonjae left work without word, went to the vet girl that he loves, took her to the sea and spent precious time together. Good for him!!! He might lose his job as an investment broker but I'm sure he will succeed in something else AND he will be happy doing it!
ncristy: wasn't it great when Sua met the sister of the man she loves and it was the same woman that she was so rude to a few hours earlier?? I loved it!

Re: K-Drama: 미우나 고우나 (Likable or Not)
Yep, I enjoyed that scene when Sua suddenly finds out Dan is Seonjae's sister. She's in for a big dose of "comeuppance" as this story unfolds.
Three cheers for Baekho. If his mother won't speak up, at least he does, telling Sua to learn to peel & cut fruit (she'd probably have to study 3 months to learn how!), and do the dishes. Dongji is right that Baekho's actions aren't making it any easier for her... but that's only because she rolls over on her back like a groveling dog, submitting to her MIL. If Dongji, Baekho, and Mansu would all present a united front, MIL and Sua would be the ones having to make the adjustments.
Nice scenes between Seonjae and Jiyeong. I hope he doesn't wimp out on us and take the cowardly way out of his financial crisis.
Seonjae's father is an unusual character. He seems to be an upright, honorable man, but I can't get over how he's always angry and yelling. What a weird, contradictory scene last night at dinner when he angrily yells at his wife to "stop frowning"! Of course, she'd drive me nuts, too, if I were a man, but he just seems too gruff. Maybe that's the only way he has of trying to get her to change her behavior. Reason doesn't seem to pierce her brain.

Re: K-Drama: 미우나 고우나 (Likable or Not)
Now, now, now......c'mon ladies, "Sua" may be very tall, but she's still a very attractive woman. In the earlier episodes (before they started showing her with such a hideous hair style) she was nearly as gorgeous as Han Ji-Hye.
No wonder Hillary doesn't stand a chance.

robbo4 Sua is not attractive, but maybe cute. Her personality makes it difficult to like her. If fact, not too many of the characters are really likable.
Who said Hillary doesn't stand a chance?
