Whatever Eunha's deal is - I still don't care for her .

She is still very clingy ,and I have a problem with the faux little girl voice she affects all the time .
At the end of the day ,though ,she is trying to manipulate and control everyone ( well ,MuYeong and Jisu anyway )

Just like DEAR OLD MOM .

I think it is also funny how EunJu keeps calling SangHyeong - and he keeps blowing her off . She is not liking that treatment .

I 'm glad we didn't have to see Bubs tonight - he is just like his adoptive mom ...what a family circus - Bubs gets turned down for a visa ,and all of a sudden it is all about LB .

I think that is called "scapegoating "

Re: K-Drama: 하늘만큼 땅만큼 (As Much As Heaven and Earth/High as the Sky, Wide as the Earth)

I was 'trying' to come around with EUnha. SHe's sweet. She doesn't care about someone's background. She's very down to earth. But I'm sorry, this girl is just scary. Yes, she is trying to control LB and Jisu. I have decided that there isn't much she can do now to change my mind.

Eunha sadly accepts LB's decision to quit school. Then Jisu (being unable to contact LB) calls to meet with her. All is well for a few and then Eunha makes her controlling little statement... "Don't meet LB anymore"... Who the HE** does she think she is? Who is she? She barely met LB. Jisu and LB have been friends forever.

And now I've about had it with LB too. He promised his mother he wouldn't run away again. IS HE? DID HE? He's still hanging around town. But has he left home again? Seems like it. He packed a few items in that bag. I think that is wrong of him. He should go to his mother and tell her how uncomfortable it is for him to stay at home and let her know what his plans are. He shouldn't disappear on her again.

So, M-Grams has had enough and has left. She is probably so upset that she has no power or say about what is going on with Bubs and to watch Grams baby him like that must have been the last straw. Plus, Bubs feels since he is 'suffering' right now that he has the right to say anything he wants to anyone. I can't stand that Bubs!!

I personally think M-Grams should rent a little room close by so she can stay in contact with her daughter.

Prof's DIL sure is laying it on thick with him. And Prof seems to be enjoying the attention!! Sonny moves in and starts ordering Jisu around? Don't like this guy either!!

K-Drama: 하늘만큼 땅만큼 (As Much As Heaven and Earth/High as the Sky, Wide as the Earth)

Just a quick note here, I had computer trouble this morning and couldn't get on.

Please nchristi, no need to apologize, I'm not offended by anything you wrote. I didn't think your response was an argument against my position at all and I sure didn't want to sound like I was arguing against yours. I was just stating my feelings is all, no big thing.

Real quick here, I didn't see this episode yet that you're talking about, but it would be great if MGrams rents a place and has LB move in with her. Oh, I'd love to see that!
Gotta run...

LB is going to need a job...do you think he might end up working at Grams restaurant? simply by coincidence, of course.
What has happened to the results of the physicals?
RichMom could have had a wonderful life with Jaedu (sp?) if only she could have met him at least 1/2 way. After all of these years, though, she has become so calloused and her heart so hardened that even her attempts (although her motives are still askew) to reconnect with her husband are delivered with such lack of love, concern and proper perspective that it is no surprise that she receives the response from her husband that she does. It appears that the only redeeming factor of that marriage is Groomie is finding a backbone and strength of convictions for his values and beliefs by seeing the results of the in-laws relationship which mirrored his relationship with Eunju.
I was glad to see the Prof encourage Jisu to support LB. He doesn't seem to be bothered by the wealth/status issue (he's marrying __________) so perhaps he will be instrumental in guiding Jisu.
Can anyone set Eunha up with the ex-boyfriend of Jisu...at least that is someone her mother would accept and his family would accept her. then our Jisu and LB could ride off into the sunset of happiness!

Jisu's brother and sister-in-law should be scrapped off that show! Same thing with Myeongtae.

Eunha is some scary girl - she is just like Eunju who clinged so much on Sangyeon that's why they ended up getting married. She even proposed to him. Eunha misunderstands the reason why LB is upset everytime there is a mention of Jisu. LB loves Jisu but can't move forward with her because he said - he is lacking. Which Jisu now knows.

I want LB and Jisu to be together. Now that LB has gone, Jisu would probably realize his importance to her life.

Just as I thought, the real mother/grandmother has the money! Will they find out if they call the number she left with Myeongja? I hope they do and I hope to see Myeongtae get on his knees apologizing for his attitute towards his real mother.

Re: K-Drama: 하늘만큼 땅만큼 (As Much As Heaven and Earth/High as the Sky, Wide as the Earth)

Thanks, nchristi! I missed that totally. I've been switching channels when the commercials come on, so I've missed bits and pieces.

I'm with addie--Eunha has some real hangups. Yes, she's young, but she's just like her mother and sister. "My way or else." I am coming to hate that whiny voice she uses when she doesn't get her own way. And how she uses her upbringing as a tool to make people feel sorry for her.

In these dramas, though, we all know that everyone does what they're told by someone older or someone with more status, so LB was told by RM to take care of Eunha, so he is. He's also a basically nice guy.

That whole dynamic between the two brothers and the mother is a bit strange, just like between Grams and Bub. M-ja seems much closer to LB than she does to Groomie, although perhaps she's that way now that Groomie has married and sort of moved on.

Taesik is a nice guy, too, but I swear I wanted him to refuse to give the number to Grams. He's starting to bug me, too. He's too nice, or perhaps too proper. That's what bothered me about Groomie, although Groomie has developed some character. However, nothing is ever a secret in these dramas, either, so Grams would have got the number someway.

Re: K-Drama: 하늘만큼 땅만큼 (As Much As Heaven and Earth/High as the Sky, Wide as the Earth)

I would love LB to go to work for M-Grams. They'd get along beautifully!

I belive Jisu said she was unsure of what her feelings for LB were. Just friends? Love? She doesn't know so she wants to step back and not risk interferring with Eunha and LB. But for EUnha to demand that Jisu stop seeing LB is way out of line. LB and Jisu are both adults who can make up their own minds about seeing each other. ALSO, Eunha isn't married to or engaged to LB. LB has never indicated that he liked EUnha as more than a friend. I could see if Eunha were a bit jealous if she were engaged or married to him.

But LB is wrong to run away again. He is hurting his mother too much. He should try to deal with living at the house or live near by and keep in constant contact with his family. Bubs needs to be told by his sisters and his 'mother' to quit treating LB the way he does. Grams allows him to talk to LB like that. Shame on her! M-Grams saw how spoiled Grams has made Bubs. M-Grams is sick of the entire thing.

I wonder if the Prof really would approve of his daughter marrying someone who is not educated and has no real job. I think he wants his daughter to make her own decisions but I think, as her father, he would say something about ... 'keep LB as a friend only..."

Re: K-Drama: 하늘만큼 땅만큼 (As Much As Heaven and Earth/High as the Sky, Wide as the Earth)

I haven't watched last night's episode yet so I'm not current with the latest happenings. A few thoughts before I watch last night's events.

Jisu said recently, in so many words, that she knows LB's feelings for her but since she is unsure of her feelings towards him, she doesn't want to give him false hope if what she feels doesn't turn out to be romantic love. It would be just one more giant stab in his heart and he's had too many already.

As for Prof approving of a relationship between LB and Jisu, I agree that he wouldn't want his daughter to marry a guy who's "nowhere." However, I do believe that Prof sees great potential in LB and has confidence that LB can blossom into a happier more successful person/life.

Prof also seems to have rather narrow, tunnel vision when it comes to people, though. It wouldn't surprise me if he's never thought beyond Jisu and LB being anything more than childhood friends, that she is of great comfort and encouragement for LB. It seems that his first thoughts of them being man and woman were stirred by Jiung's strong objection to allowing Jisu to have anything to do with LB. Prof was clearly concerned after that showdown in that deleted scene—as if it were the first time the thought had crossed his mind that maybe he should be paying some attention to Jisu with LB.

Groomie & Eunju - It was interesting to hear Groomie say that Eunju doesn't like to be uncomfortable—applying it to his refusal to be interested in her well-being when she called and his refusal to want to be friends.

I always thought of it in a different way... that when men are finished, they are finished, want to close the doors to the past and move on, frequently "replacing" rather quickly. From Bridie's point of view, I had the feeling that she is finished with him as long as she feels that way, but she sort of wants him in hibernation mode... that she can call him back or have him be there when she wants. It seems a big shock to her that he isn't willing to be available to her. She says she's finished with the marriage and won't go back to it, but in her mind he isn't allowed to think the same—and especially to act on the decision that the marriage is over. Period.

Re: K-Drama: 하늘만큼 땅만큼 (As Much As Heaven and Earth/High as the Sky, Wide as the Earth)

class p Episode 43 (Monday) - Deleted Scenes

After Jisu and Prof are driving to work.... class ul Jiung and Miae in their room getting ready to leave. Miae starts complaining about Jisu and TG, then schemes some more. Finally, she gets the baby's bag ready... as she lifts it her shoulder is tired and she starts complaining about the housework, cooking, etc. Then she launches off into more of her evil scheming. Jiung looks nervous and comments as though he's afraid of what's she's doing. Miae gets a big grin of pleasure on her face... class center *****At TG's office... class ul Alone, Jisu asks TG something (about what's happening to LB at home?). TG sighs and sits down by Jisu's desk. Looks as though TG tells Jisu the truth about the big fight. Jisu looks sad. TG must ask Jisu to try to encourage LB, as she nods "yes." class center *****Grams has brought a big tray of food into Bubs' room.... class ul Bubs is in bed, facing the wall. Grams is trying to console him and get him to eat. He is pitiful. He whines and laments... no doubt his life is over and he can't bear to live, etc.

Outside Bub's room, M-Grams is standing in coat with her bag. She's listening to his pitiful whining and Grams' equally pathetic pleading with her baby boy to eat. M-Grams looks towards their closed door, then leaves the apartment and slowly walks down the street to the Nari and says good-bye to M-Ja and Taesik. class center *****
M-Grams approaches a beautiful one-story wood and stone corner house... class ul She rings the bell and is immediately buzzed in. The front gate is like a door, but has two diagonal signs on it. (?) The woods are expensive looking and it is immaculate.

The thing that's odd is the next scene a woman is preparing the bedding on a palate on the floor (approximately 1 foot high), not just comforters on the floor. In walks M-Grams in an expensive hanbok type outfit. Not really strictly traditional hanbok, but a full, floor-length skirt with a top that is sort of an over-jacket that comes to her hips. The fabrics look to be expensive silk, a coral top with a skirt that might be a dusty brown. (Hard to tell on the computer.) M-Grams authoritatively gives an instruction to the woman, who replies "yes, grandmother."

M-Grams sits down on the bed while the woman is opening the bag, going through the things. M-Grams motions for the woman to bring over the bag. M-Grams takes out the sweater that M-Ja bought for her, then slides the bag back to the woman, the woman takes it and leaves the room.

M-Grams holds up the sweater, looking at front and back, then folding it lengthwise and holding it close to her heart, deep in thought. class center *****

Re: K-Drama: 하늘만큼 땅만큼 (As Much As Heaven and Earth/High as the Sky, Wide as the Earth)

I guess Meongja is the only one who can relay to LB's feelings as she thinks of herself as a real mother to him. LB told Jisu in a past episode - "I don't know where to stand anymore" - that was because no matter what he does, there are people who always think he is on their way. He tries to be a good son/person, just as we all know, but characters like Meongtae and Grams see him as a different person; on top of that, they keep reiterating to him that they do not consider him family. Although Sanghyeon is always nice to him, LB don't feel any warmth coming from him as a brother. It's true Meongja loves him as her own, but LB feels there is something missing in their relationship. Maybe because she is unable to really depend him when she has to especially in front of her own family.

I thought on tonite's episode, Jisu would say something that would make LB change his mind. I guess she is still unsure of her feelings for LB - that's why she needed to ask her father the difference between love and friendship. That was a very good explanation from the Professor. I do hope that when love blossoms between LB and Jisu, the Prof would not try to get in the way. With M-Grams gone, Meongja seems to have begun to realize what her feelings are for her real mother.
