I'll bet that Bridie is pregnant and maybe their storyline will switch to abortion, because she doesn't want kids. Groomie will really go out of his mind then.
And RichMom will be the one dragging Bridey to the hospital for an abortion even if Eunju wants to keep it. Well, maybe she isn't pregnant, but it does make the perfect twist in the story at this point, doesn't it?

Groomie actor certainly has a beautiful, radiant smile.

Bubs - Wow. What a way to find out your family is GONE! And of course the envelope he drops just has to be the $10,000 from the wedding.

M-Grams - Have to change her name from Mystery-Grams to Money-Grams!

Tango Girl - Now we have the suggestion that she might invest—and lose—all her money in the Eunju production deal. If that happens, it's going to complicate matters. It'll be bad news for everybody living in her apartment. So many people to support falling on the shoulders of Taesik, Groomie, the Nari restaurant, and LB.

Then there's Miae. What a nasty person. Beauty may be only skin deep, but ugly goes all the way to the bone. As the daughter-in-law, she's the slave designee, not Jisu ... and certainly not her future "step-mother-in-law," TG.

As for Grams telling off RM, that visit was pointless. I don't like that behavior at all. People like Grams feel good letting their tongues and emotions fly—like they just took a giant dump. Unfortunately, they seldom care about the effect on others because they're too wrapped up in how cool and superior they feel in attacking their target. I don't care how it affected RM (she deserves what she gets), but Grams' "loved ones" are the ones who suffered the most from her lack of good sense and self-restraint. Grams felt good afterwards, but RM won by dealing a worse blow to M-Ja, and Groomie.

Eunha - Nothing has changed for me. I would find her much more tolerable, though, if she didn't speak and act in that pouty, whiny manner... like a little baby. Maybe it's cute to guys, but it is a major annoyance to me.

I realized, too, that there is a cultural difference going on here. A number of Koreans speak with their tongues through and in front of their teeth instead of having tongue placement behind the teeth. In American speech, this tongue placement is a speech impediment. So, every time I watch Eunha speak, I'm seeing and hearing a speech impediment that needs correction by American standards. But that probably isn't so in Korean culture.

Believe me, I'm trying to like this girl, but it is definitely an up-hill struggle for me.

Oh geeze!! You mean that may have been the MONEY that Bubs dropped? I thought it was the paperwork he had filled out (but was rejected). It didn't occur to me it was the money. WHAT A MAJOR IDIOT!!!

I'm with you on Groomie's smile nchristi... I think this man is incredible looking! And what a treat in this drama to have two beautiful men (Prof).
I adore LB but don't think he's beautiful. Nice looking but.... man that Groomie! WHEW!!!

I'd like to help answer your question but you're going to have to be a little more specific on what you want to know. Catching you up on 16 episodes in a few lines is kind of difficult. Perhaps the easiest way is for you to go back a number of pages and read what has been posted since Episode 24.

Of course we have some whiz bang clever writers here, so maybe one of them can come up with a brief summary for you.

ghot1224, welcome to the board! Eun-ju divorced her husband because she can't stand his family and the "obligations" it entails. Another issue is that she doesn't want any children and her groom thinks children are part of what a really family is all about. His and her concept of family and familial obligations are different. So they divorced. Not sure how that is done legally when they weren't officially registered as married in the first place. [SIDE NOTE: I think in many Asian cultures, if you have an open-to-public ceremony (like a wedding banquet), you are considered legally married. I know Taiwan is like that, but they are changing this marital law as of January 2008. In 6 months, only marriage registration counts as marrying legally.]

We found out in yesterday's episode that the new grandma is really RICH from her conversation with her restaurant's manager. But she doesn't know how to help her children and grandchildren without being too obvious.

I have a question though. I didn't know the uncle got divorced from his wife. I thought his wife and children just went ahead to the US without him. I did wonder how that can be, since families would apply for US immigration visas as an unit. Was this explained in the first few episodes? I'll bet that was edited out.

The actor who plays the younger brother is better suited for this role than his role in the 7/chil Princesses. For one thing, he is playing a guy his own age. I feel more comfortable seeing him in this role than his previous role.

Now....that older brother (the groomie) is just too good to watch. Not only is he good looking, he is a good actors too. How can anyone smile so nicely?! I'm going back to watch all the shows he was in!

I am sorry that Jisu is not ready to sort out her feelings for MuYoung .I hope she is not sorry .
I don't want Mu Young to end up anywhere near EunHa and it has less to do with Eunha than her parents.
I can just imagine how RM would treat him ....

I am no fan of Bubs ,but I couldn't believe they would have his character leave .BTW , Is is possible for someone to ask the governmnet to deny someone else a visa - or is this one of those suspended belief situations??

Yes ,I know it is a drama - wink ,wink .

It looks as if Bubs is going to take it oue on MuYoung from the previews .Talk about ironic twists . It time someone slaps some sense into Bubs !!

I think it's a make-believe situation. But for someone to apply for an immigration visa, you'll need a sponsor, usually a 1st degree relative, like spouse, parents, or children. Nowadays, there is a wait of at least 10 years for 2nd degree relatives to sponsor someone to come to the States.

If Bub's ex-wife withdraws her sponsorship, then Bubs' visa application will obviously be rejected. It wouldn't matter what the reason is. I doubt US immigration officers would care enough to relay that bit of information to Bubs, unless it's in a K-drama.

Bub's only way to get to the States now is as a tourist or wait until his children are old enough and have obtained US citizenship, then they can apply for their father's immigration visa.

OMG, I just had to look up the actor who plays groomie on Soompi. Here is his soompi link:

http://www.soompi.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=21266

You have to see his profile! Apparently he has 15 dan in 3 martial arts!!! What does "15 dan" mean? He is 31 and is 184 cm tall. He doesn't look that tall in this drama, but he is TALL! He reminds me of So Ji Sub. He looks like So Ji Sub's older brother. He is better looking than SJS though. He also reminds me of Bruce Lee, but Bruce Lee is at least a foot shorter than him!

Re: K-Drama: 하늘만큼 땅만큼 (As Much As Heaven and Earth/High as the Sky, Wide as the Earth)

class p Episode 41 (Thursday) - Deleted Scenes

Grams comes into Nari after she crosses paths with Bubs and Taesik... class ul She wants to know from M-Ja what's going on. M-Grams enters, too, asking where is everyone. Grams shushes her up and urges M-Ja to spill the beans. The scene ends there. class center *****At Jaedu's official, lavish affair, he and RichMom enter the fancy hotel ballroom.... class ul RM turns on her charm as people greet them. They approach the head table and again RM takes the lead. The wife of the main guy goes on at some length to RM. Looks like she's complimenting her. RM is radiating and graciously accepting the words. The wife then must be asking about Eunju's recent marriage as Jaedu looks away in contained disgust at the words flowing off his wife's silver tongue.

Looks like after-dinner wine and the men and women have separated out to adjoining tables. RM is once again holding court with the wives. (It's true, she is the most beautiful one there!) At the men's table, Jaedu is playing the role, too. At the end of all the smoozing, RM and Jaedu look at one another at their respective tables and salute each other with their glasses of wine. class center *****
At the tango studio, some pros are giving an exhibition while the students stand at the side... class ul Tango Girl is really getting into the mood, swaying to the music in place. Prof looks at her, she quickly stops; he laughs. Next, they are walking into the parking structure. TG is animated in wanting to dance tango with him, but it seems he rather seriously gets on her case about it. ? (Maybe he thinks that either she's never going to get it, or else she just isn't at a stage yet to dance at his level. ?)

As they get ready to leave in their separate cars, the conversation turns back to being friendly. Prof's phone rings... it is Miae. I think she asks where he is and he tells her he's at tango class with TG. She must be telling him to come home to eat dinner that she's prepared—thwarting any possibility for an after-class date. Prof seems to feel a little hemmed in by his DIL. [Just wait, Prof... you ain't seen nothing' yet.]

Prof turns to TG and explains the situation. She encourages him to go. They go their separate ways. class center *****
TG parks her car at home.... class ul Groomie is walking slowly down the sidewalk in the dark, his head hung in despair. He is only a couple feet from TG but walks right past her without noticing her. She stops him and sees he's really depressed. She turns him around and they head the opposite direction.

In a restaurant, TG and Groomie are drinking beer. She tries to cheer him up. Then she unthinkingly says something about Eunju—Groomie tightens up. TG looks at him and realizes her careless words. He gathers himself together, they talk more and end with cumbays (Korean for "cheers"). class center *****
