Welcome, ellaxie! That's one of the things I love about this board--people from so many places.

Well, bouncy, when I first started watching these dramas, I learned that while the language has different levels of politeness, often the way the words are said is very impolite, downright rude. And I doubt that Bub is going anywhere--he and Grams are a real pair--they stir things up a lot. If he was nice, he'd disappear, like Rich Boyfriend.

I was checking out crunchyroll.com today re-watching a few early scenes of Pure in Heart and it looked like the guy we call "Bub" was the one who stole Gukwha's money from her locker after she got her first job and was staying nights in the office.

Now I really hate him! emoticon

I remember "Bubs" in Sweet Spy - he usually plays a slime ,I guess .

I feel so sorry for MyeungJu and the Professor .They are a great couple ,and they so don't desrve all this grief .
The only good news is that they appear to have reached a easier comfort level in their relationship .They both seem to be more open with each other .

Hmm, that makes me think they will become even more attached - and perhaps more apt to do what they want to .

I think that EunJu is creepier than EunHa - but to tell you the truth ,I just can't make up my mind about that !!

I am enjoying this show !!

BTW ,bubs was talking about his kids .Where is their mother ???

Re: K-Drama: 하늘만큼 땅만큼 (As Much As Heaven and Earth/High as the Sky, Wide as the Earth)

Welcome to CJKDramas.com, ellaxie! We're happy to have you with us. (For our North American K-drama fans, the Korean Wave (Hallyu) rolled over Asia before it did here.)

Bubs - The actor who plays Bubs has been in many K-dramas in prominent supporting roles. Unfortunately, he almost always plays the villain, or scheming businessman type. Quite talented actor, though.

Korean "rudeness" is legendary to American values. That's just the way their culture is and isn't considered rude there. My mailman is Korean and many times I have wanted to kick him in the shins for his rude mouth. Until I began watching K-dramas and began to understand it is a cultural thing and he had no idea his words were offensive. It's just ordinary conversation to him. class blockquote bouncy knowles wrote:

Does anyone know how long this drama is? Not how many episodes, but how long an episode is *uncut*? We get a solid half-hour here in Jersey on WMBC (compared to, like, 50-52 minutes for weekend soaps), but when I see all the deleted scenes here, I wonder how long each episode is meant to run.
The uncut episodes run from approximately 32-36 minutes. I haven't timed the actual on-air minutes lately, but we in SoCal have at least 5-minutes cut I would estimate. Our airing begins at 8:25p, with a couple minutes of introductory commercials, then again at the end from 8:55–9:00p are commercials. When I do the deleted scenes from tonight's episode I'll count the minutes deleted. Tonight's episode is only 32:50 long. (Friday's episode was 34:29 long, so you can see the length varies from night-to-night. The longer it is, the more edits the SoCal version has cut from it. And, of course, shorter episodes—like tonight's—will have less cut from it.)

K-Drama: 하늘만큼 땅만큼 (As Much As Heaven and Earth/High as the Sky, Wide as the Earth)

Thanks very much!I watched k-dramas when I was a middle school student!haha,if I remeber the right date.I loved chang dong-gun at that time.
Now,we can see many newest K-dramas on internet, and k-dramas are so popular in china even many are in crazy love(may be) as their roles and stories.
I have seen episode 34 ,but it's said that it has displayed episode 75 now.
At the same time,I'm sorry about my poor English so I can't express myself properly. But i'll learn about it to discuss K-dramas with all of you !

nchristi, thanks!

And I'll try to refrain from throwing things at the television when rude things are said. LOL. I've been watching dramas for a while (MSMD was my first) , but had no idea it was a cultural thing.

I'm beginning to think that there's a possibility that we may be getting slightly altered episodes here in NJ than you nice people get in CA. Because we got *all* of those deleted scenes from episode 31 last night. Including the Muyeong/Jisu moments. Which I of course tuned out in favor of watching my guys on High Stakes Poker. emoticon

I also want to welcome the new posters. So happy to have you all join in and express your opinions. It's even better because people posting are from all over the place.

Never worry Ellaxie... Your English is just fine and even if it weren't, we would still welcome and WANT your input. THis is a great board to join!

I have absolutely no guess about who will end up with LB (Jisu or Eunha). It's driving me crazy (LOL).. I think Eunha is sweet but scary. Last nite she made LB mad because she was asking him questions about his bio parents which were none of her business. What is her problem? It's as if she wants to know every detail of his life. She is just too over bearing for me.

I see a lot of good in Eunha. She defends Groomie to her mother and sister. She seems to have a kindness in her. She doesn't look down on anyone like her mother and sis do. But whatever, I still have a feeling inside that something is not quite right with her. Also, I just have an overall feeling that Jisu and LB should be together. I don't see that happening but that's what I want to happen!

RM is disgusted with Groomie. She actually blames him for the problems with Eunhu. That's why people with different backgrounds shouldn't marry, according to RM... If Groomie had a similar background would he be more accepting of being married to a selifsh, rude, inconsiderate, BRAT? I think NOT. Who'd want to be married to her?

Yet, Groomie is STILL trying to find a way to salvage the marriage. What he should do is salvage what's left of his sanity and get the he** as far away from those people as he can!

Eunha's father sees it just the way it is. RM tries to say she is only trying to protect HIS career but he sees that what she is really protecting is her OWN reputation. She is definitely the one that is easy to hate!!

TG and the Prof... My favorite couple. They seem to be very open and honest with each other. I just can't get enough of looking at this man. He is the best looking on the show. Him and LB have the best personalities (to me).. And TG is just so down to earth and honest.

SonnyBoy and Bubs .... YUCK!

So, I wonder if Bubs' wife left him? She's apparently moved with their two children (while in the U.S.) and didn't bother to tell him. Maybe she found someone else? That would give the writers a reason to keep Bubs around. I was wondering if they were really going to send him to the U.S.. But I'm confused. DId they ever say WHY his wife and children were in the U.S. to begin with?

Well, either your NJ station shows the episodes uncut, or else they edit out different scenes. The local stations are the ones that do the editing to fit their commercial structure, so the cuts can be very different by the NJ editor and the SoCal editor. Sometimes they are coincidentally the same edits.

The following was deleted from this episode: class ul class li 4-1/2 minutes of drama class li 1 minute of previews class li Total deleted: 5:34 minutes class p Episode 33 (Monday) - Deleted Scenes

After Prof, TG, and Jisu eat together... class ul Jisu drives as Prof is in front seat, TG in back. They drop off TG at her apartment, Prof getting out. They talk together for a minute, a very warm, friendly scene. Such chemistry! It was dripping off the screen that they both wanted to be in each other's arms. He gets back in the car and Jisu drives off. class center *****M-Grams picking vegetables at the family table... class ul TG enters with sagging shoulders and very sad. She greets M-Grams, inquires about Grams. M-Grams nods she's in her room in bed. TG sighs. Then she bows to M-Grams and enters her mother's room.

Inside, Grams is in bed and turns her head away when she sees TG enter. TG must tell her that she has met with Prof and said the marriage is off, because Grams sparks up a little and seems relieved. Grams probably says something like TG will find someone else to marry. TG turns to her mother and says "No...." My guess is TG is saying she has now given up on the idea of marriage and will remain single the rest of her life.

Grams gets all upset over that. TG looks calmly at her mother and seems to say something like she shouldn't worry any more... she won't be marrying Prof, so "you got what you wanted," in so many words. Grams bolts up but can't do anything except be frustrated. class center *****
Prof and Jisu enter their home... class ul Looks as though Jisu asks her father about marrying TG. He must tell her they have decided to cancel the engagement but will remain companions. "Oppa...." Jisu utters sadly. They talk more about it, Dad reaches out to Jisu and strokes her shoulder. He warmly smiles at his daughter, not wanting her to worry. (The next scene is where we see Jisu walk into her room and sit on her bed, sad about her dad and TG.) class center *****

Bubs also appeared in "No more tear" he had not much acting part for him in that drama, he was the one of the brother.
