Re: K-Drama: 하늘만큼 땅만큼 (As Much As Heaven and Earth/High as the Sky, Wide as the Earth)
Well, Eunha may be behaving ok now but we did see signs of possible mental problems early on. I think as long as things are going her way, she'll be sweet, as she has been the past few eps. But she acted extremely (and overly) possessive re LB when she was talking to Jisu a few eps ago. Her behavior was down right scary to me. Also, there was some mention about her 'condition' previously. I just can't remember what the heck it was but at the time I thought, "Oh no"... This girl is gonna be whacko acting.
When you become instantly possessive and 'in love' the first time you meet someone then you've got a major mental problem...
I think Eunha displays a lot of compassionate and empathy. She defends Groomie constantly. She seems to be fiercely loyal to those she cares for. But there is just something about her .....
Eunhu had to skip father's birthday dinner because of work. She appeared to be frazzled over that actress refusing to work but she should cheer up. It did give her an excuse NOT to go to the birthday dinner.
When RM told Eunhu to give money to father as a gift (hundreds of dollars at that), I could only think of the complete lack of 'thought' that Eunhu would have to put into a gift. I bet father appreciates LB's gift so much more because it was truly a gift from his heart. He loves his parents and wants them to be healthy.
LB is wondering why Jisu has been in a bad mood lately? I don't think either of them realize she is jealous of his relationship with Eunha. I really like LB and Jisu as a couple...
TG (my favorite character) goes (by force) on a blind date. But she is seen by the Prof. OMG, when Prof thought of marching in there and physically MOVING Grams out of the way and TAKING TG out, I LOVED IT.... He thought is was kinda funny too and just laughed and drove away (wish he had done that though)... Later he seemed to be in deep thought about things. I am worried that he will back out. But he told TG the other nite that he would stick it out with her.
Bubs runs into M-Grams at the bank. Then he follows her (he is such a creep). So I think we know very well what is going on with M-Grams now. She OWNS that restaurant!!! Luckily she saw BUbs and had the employee play it off for her. Then she offers to buy Bubs the plane ticket to America (she must be tired of his immature selfish ways already). He almost acts guilty for taking her medicine money (but not enough to turn her down). Can't wait to see if he actually accepts that money. Also, if they let him leave to the States then we won't have him to complain about. He is a good character to dislike...
Sonny and the wife want to move in with the Prof? I suppose they have to do that to protect THEIR interests in HIS money.... What a couple! They are just like Bubs!

Pali, I agree with you, let's not call Eunha - psycho sister. She actually pretty sweet, compare with her sister, I think her sister really a spoil brat.

Re: K-Drama: 하늘만큼 땅만큼 (As Much As Heaven and Earth/High as the Sky, Wide as the Earth)
class p Episode 30 (Wednesday) - Deleted Scenes
I'm going to try a little experiment here. I will put the scenes we saw (West Coast) in bulleted lists and then write out the "deleted scenes" as I have been doing. class ul class li Opens with Grams shoving the Blind Date's photo across the table for TG to look at—TG keeps her eyes closed tight. The whole family argues; Bubs suggests they vote; TG gets up and goes to her room. class li TG hides under her blankets. Grams comes in. They wrestle over the blankets and Grams falls back, pulling the covers off TG. class li Prof at home on his computer, pauses... thinking about TG and Grams situation probably. class li LB in restaurant studying. Jisu calls. He's studying for Practice Exam. Jisu gets jealous about Eunha; begins talking about his "girlfriend." LB denies she is his girlfriend. This ends in tension and frustration between them. Call ends on unpleasant note. class li At Rich House, everybody leaving for work. RichMom stops Eunju and tells her to get a gift for her father-in-law's birthday. "Give him cash." If she got him a nice cashmere sweater it would be hundreds of dollars so just give him equivalent cash.Grams calls TG at work, trying to convince her to meet the blind date.... class ul Both Grams and TG yell and yell at each other. Finally, TG tires out and says "okay" and hangs up on her mother. Having been hung up on, Grams is stewing alone at the table at home. M-Grams comes out of the bedroom, dressed to leave. She talks with Grams, who is steaming over TG's unwillingness to cooperate. M-Grams seems above it all and leaves (to buy the birthday food). "Aigoo," groans Grams. She's upset that M-Grams doesn't care about what's really important.... class center ***** class ul class li M-Grams withdraws money from an ATM class li Bubs, at the same bank, sees the wad of $$$ and follows M-Grams to a fancy restaurant class li M-Grams knows Bubs is following her and has the restaurant personnel tell him she only used to work there, was supposed to be sent to a nursing home, but it didn't work out. In the kitchen, M-Grams tastes the chef's cooking and gives instructions—looks as though she's the owner of the restaurant. class li LB gives his parents vitamins for Dad's birthday present; Mom objects that they are expensive and LB doesn't have money. Both parents are very happy with LB's thoughtful gift. class li Bridey's supervisor makes her go on a business emergency—star of new movie is acting up and has disappeared. This conflicts with Bridey's agreement to go to Father's birthday at the Kims.Bridey calls Groomie... class ul She explains to him that she has to stay late for business. Groomie is still working and is disappointed that she must stay late. Bridey seems genuinely upset, too. She starts making phone calls looking for the missing movie star. class center *****At Jiung's restaurant.... class ul Miae and Jiung are sitting together in a booth. She leans forward... she's got a great new idea on how to solve the Prof/Tango Girl family dilemma. class center ***** class ul class li TG in her office, Grams calls to make sure TG comes down and goes with her to the blind date. class li Prof in the car driving, sees TG come out of her office building, Grams grabs her. Prof sees it is a blind date; fantasy of marching in, grabbing Grams bodily and moving her aside, taking TG by the hand and taking her away. class li TG tells BD she has someone she wants to marry. BD guy is interested in TG. (Another problem for Grams to glomb onto.) class li Bubs comes home to the feast M-Grams has prepared for Taesik's birthday and can hardly wait to chow down. She tells him she will pay for his air ticket to the States. He thinks she cannot afford it. She plays it off and says she doesn't have much... it is money she had saved for medical problems in her old age. class li M-Grams, Taesik, M-Ja, and Bubs are ready to eat the dinner. Grams comes home. Groomie arrives with a B-cake; Eunju will be there later. Grams criticizes Eunju to Groomie. class li Eunju is at the gate of the movie star's house, trying to get in touch through the speaker. Doesn't succeed. Her boss calls and wants to meet with her. Everything is going from bad to worse... class li TG goes to the tango studio looking for Prof. He's not there. class li Jisu comes home. Prof has cooked kimchee stew for them. Didn't feel like going to tango lessons tonight so cooked instead. class li TG goes to the parking garage and doesn't see his car. She calls him, but gets voice mail. At home, Prof goes into his study. He sees that he has two missed calls from TG. class li Jisu calls to him that Jiung and Miae have come over. They announce to Prof that they have decided to move in and live with him.

Re: K-Drama: 하늘만큼 땅만큼 (As Much As Heaven and Earth/High as the Sky, Wide as the Earth)
I have to say that TG's crying (sobbing uncontrollably) made ME cry. It was so real. She is a good actress to pull off such a powerful scene. It showed how terribly saddened and hurt she is. How can Grams turn her back on that? DIdn't she think her daughter could have made a good choice in a man? It's not like he's after her money or ANYTHING. She has loved this man for 20 years.
Sonny and Wifey want to move in because they 1. think father is lonely so them living there will keep him from having to get married and 2. they want to make sure HIS money is in THEIR control. Greed oozes out of them both! He says ok I won't get married so you don't have to move in. If he said, "YOU ARE NOT MOVING IN AND I AM GETTING MARRIED", what would they do? What could they do? Sonny is a wimp. His wife is pulling the strings. Prof already acts frustrated whenever he is going to see either of them. So why wouldn't he stand up to them?
That Bubs.... Yeah bio mom, give me all your money, even if you were saving it for your medicine. What a piece of work this loser is!
LB seems to really love Jisu. My question is, why does LB, who barely knows Eunha OR her family, suddenly is acting like he is obligated to them? It's not HIS responsibility to ensure Enuha gets to college. LB acts like he must obey RM. Also, why is he letting Eunha run him the way she does? I can appreciate she is encouraging him to go to college. That's what friends do. BUt now she insists that his phone has their picture on it the same way her phone does. She is much too possessive. I did notice that on BOTH pics LB looks like a deer in front of someone's headlights! HERS!
WHAT HAPPENED? How did it come about that Groomie left? Bridey came home and told him she had been working late and he totally understood. Why the heck would they cut out the part that showed what happened?
He is at a hotel but he looks miserable. I think he does love Bridey. I also know he doesn't want his marriage to fail. He doesn't want to disappoint his family.
Priceless: RM wants to make sure Bridey and Groomie stay together because her husband is up for Magistrate or whatever. How would it look if his daughter is divorced? Does this woman even have a heart inside her?
LB admits to himself that he loves Jisu. Then Jisu is wondering why they are drifting apart. Did he find someone he loved while he was in the Army? He said he didn't love Eunha and that he loved someone else.
I am cheering for LB/Jisu. What a cute couple.. I don't think Jisu even thinks of LB as anything but her longtime friend. I hope she loves him too..
I'm liking M-grams more and more. She seems to have a good head on her shoulders, is calm and seems very wise. I wonder why she showed up after all these years? She doesn't seem to be ill. Maybe she decided to retire (semi retire is more like it) and just wanted to try to develop a relationship with her children.. She seems a good addition to that family.

K-Drama: 하늘만큼 땅만큼 (As Much As Heaven and Earth/High as the Sky, Wide as the Earth)
Ever since many said that Jisu was so pretty, I have been trying to see why since I don't agree. However, I think RM is the most attractive woman on the show even though she is much older.

*raises hand* Newbie here. Hi!
Unpopular opinion around these parts, but, I actually don't want to see Jisu with Muyeong. I like him with Eunha. She's kind of ditzy, yes, but she makes him smile...when she's not embarrassing him...and he seems to like her despite himself.
Plus, the last two dramas have taught us that we really shouldn't get too attached to the obvious pairing right away: I was really gunning for Gukhwa/Ugyeong last time around (as well as Seolchill/Ilhan) and one person at least ended up with someone who turned out to be a better match. (Seolchill/Hanam)
One pairing that I'm inflexible on...Sanghyeon/me. Because he's smokin' hot!
--- He had a plan. Maybe you just didn't see it till it hit you between the eyes.
