K-Drama: 하늘만큼 땅만큼 (As Much As Heaven and Earth/High as the Sky, Wide as the Earth)
To answer N-Christi - they all had the same father. Thats what I understood.
I also think Sonny's wife is a preety girl like Bridey. But there acting is so good they look ugly.

Re: K-Drama: 하늘만큼 땅만큼 (As Much As Heaven and Earth/High as the Sky, Wide as the Earth)
class p Episode 29 (Tuesday) - Deleted Scenes
While Grams and Bubs are out meeting with Prof, M-Grams is helping M-Ja prep veggies in the restaurant... class ul M-Ja hands M-Grams an envelope of money. I think it is the "congratulatory" money that M-Grams left at Groomie's wedding. M-Grams doesn't want to accept it and pushes it back. M-Ja talks with her and tries to get her to accept the money, but she refuses.
Just as M-Grams is giving it back to M-Ja, Bubs walks in the door and sees M-Grams give the envelope back to his sister, who quickly grabs it and hides it in her apron pocket. M-Grams tries to play it off, puts on her scarf and coat and leaves the restaurant. Bubs starts to go after M-Grams, but M-Ja grabs his arm and keeps him there. Knowing how money-hungry her brother is, it looks as though M-ja is pleading with him to just leave the subject alone and to not be asking M-Grams for money for himself. He acts offended, as though he isn't as crass as that. (But we all know he is!) He rushes out after M-Grams.
M-Grams is walking down the street when Bubs comes running after her, grabbing her arm and stopping her. Next scene is of them sitting in the park, Bubs telling her she discriminates against him by giving only M-ja money. class center *****While Eunha is out with LB, RM, Dad and the newlyweds are eating dinner together at home... class ul RM is sickeningly sweet in talking with Groomie (trying to make up over the food in the garbage?). Groomie is still very hurt, just keeps his head down and eats his dinner, giving only the briefest of answers to RM's direct questions to him. It seems Dad has gotten the drift about the holiday visit not going so well and gets on Bridey's case about it. She remains quiet but looks very annoyed. Groomie looks at her, while RM looks distressed that Dad is out of line.
RM brings tea to her husband in his study. He speaks nicely to her and she turns away to leave without responding. (Looks like a carryover grudge from the dinner table.) He says something to her and she replies with what she should say in a polite manner—the way they both talk to each other in that patronizing, sweet manner that is really covering daggers.
The next scene is Groomie and Bridey in their room and their discussion about treating his family better and how important it is to him. Bridey agrees to "smile" when next they go. Groomie is happy and grateful that his wife is making an effort to compromise.
Bridey goes to the bathroom to brush her teeth. She is angry and resentful, talking to herself in the mirror. She angrily brushes her teeth. class center *****Over at the Kim's, Grams, Bubs, M-Grams are eating together in dead silence... class ul Bubs is looking at M-Grams and we hear the dialogue in his mind... he's brooding about her money. Then the camera is on M-Grams, she takes a glance at Bubs and knows what he's thinking, too. She's too cool to let him get to here in any way. Camera next on Grams, with long face... miserable over TG and the Prof. class center *****Extra...

I missed last nights episode (really need to program my VCR.) I'm waiting for Groomie to leave. It's long over due. And, when will Jaedu actually speak up to let RM and EJ know that their behavior is unacceptable?
Groomie seems to have a communication problem. Which is unfortunate. I could sit there and listen to him all day long. I may not hear a word he's saying but he would have my full attention .

Re: K-Drama: 하늘만큼 땅만큼 (As Much As Heaven and Earth/High as the Sky, Wide as the Earth)
Erica Kane! Well, of all people, SHE should know, shouldn't she! She must be an expert on every conceivable relationship that could possibly come into existence!
Okay, here's the deal as I understand it.
Sibling - Must have the same biological mother and father.
Half-bro/sis (or Half-sibling) - Has a common parent. A biological child of either the father or the mother. A blood tie with one "parent." Ex: Two divorced people, each with a previous son, marry and then have a baby girl of their own. The new baby girl is half-sister to both sons. The baby girl has a direct blood tie with each of the two sons... from her father, and from her mother.
Step-bro/sis or step-son/daughter - People related through marriage. A legal tie, but not a blood tie. The two sons in the above example are step-brothers to each other—not half-brothers—because there is no blood tie between them. So they are step-brothers; the father's boy is a step-son to his wife (she is his step-mother). The mother's boy is a step-son to her husband (he is a step-father).
This is the way it works in our country. Customs might be different elsewhere.
Edit: If my father had a zillion kids with a zillion women all over the place, each child he fathered would be my half-brother or half-sister.

Nsheldon, this is how I believe it goes.
The two sisters that belong to her mother are your grand daughter's step sisters IF this is not your grand daughter's bio mother and if they don't have the same father.
The one sister that belongs to your son: if this sister has a different mother then your oldest grand daughter, but both have the same dad, she is your grand daughter's half sister, they have the blood connection of the dad. They would be the closest siblings.
If this same one sister has a different bio mom AND dad then your grand daughter, they would be step sisters.
Half brother or half sister means each child has one parent in common.
Step means no blood ties at all.
Your second paragraph "the children of the same mother are all siblings, even with different fathers."
These children would be half sisters or brothers, they have the same mother, same blood.
I'm pretty sure this is how it goes nsheldon.

Re: K-Drama: 하늘만큼 땅만큼 (As Much As Heaven and Earth/High as the Sky, Wide as the Earth)
I don't find either of the two women in question unattractive. As suggested before, their behavior tends to skew the picture. Neither, however, could pull off the same anomaly that Lee Yun-Ji ("Snowcone" from PIH) had in her arsonal which was the ability to still look strikingly gorgeous while smiling, laughing, pouting, or ranting.
The girl that plays Eunha has the same appeal to my eyes. It's all a matter of personal opinion, but I think that sometimes we judge the player by the game. I'm pretty sure that both of those actresses "clean up" real well. M-Grams wasn't so much fun to look at when she was featured playing evil parts like the one that had her dowsing a young girl with some sort of dirty liquid an early episode of (Can't remember the name of the show!) that period piece where the young girl grows up to be a famous...whatever it was.
