Can it be that viewers in California are one episode ahead of viewers on the East Coast? I am in New Jersey so I saw the episode where TG woke up after falling asleep in the movie theatre. The professor merely dorpped her off at home. If he had said something this romantic in that episode he would have been my new hero. Did I miss this or are we just an episode behind?

CA may be ahead of the east coast by one ep. Last nite (Mon) we saw the Prof tell TG (or rather asked her) to 'come to him'... Now, I've been watching these dramas for 10 years and I've never heard that before. I would assume that, in Korean culture, that kind of statement would mean to 'marry'.

However, I think TG was not clear about what the Prof meant by that either. She's kinda in the dark (like me). Or was the Prof just asking for an open, exclusive dating type relationship? Considering this man has kept her on a string for 20 years you'd think he could be a little more clear to her (and to me) of what he wants.

I think their date last nite did end with TG believing the Prof did ask her to marry him. But there was not really a question that TG had an opportunity to say YES to.....

class p Episode 23 (Monday) - Deleted Scenes

Groomie & Bridey arrive home after dinner... class ul Eunha lets them in and shushes them up because Mom is "sleeping" and upset in her room. Eunha lectures her sister about it; Bridey walks off to her room. class center *****After walking Eunha home, LB is walking on the street... class ul He calls Jisu. She asks him if he's dropped off Eunha and he says yes. They talk seriously for quite a while. My guess is that Jisu is hinting about LB having a "girlfriend" relationship with Eunha and he might be telling her he is obligated to be her "older brother" to keep her from dropping out of school. Then the conversation seems to change to Tango Girl and Jisu's dad. The conversation ends.

Just then Tango Girl comes bouncing up, all atwitter. She looks at the skies and probably says it is such a beautiful night... LB looks up at the sky then back at her with a puzzled expression. TG goes skipping and laughing into the house like a little girl. LB stands there watching her enter their apartment building. class center *****
Prof at home reading the newspaper... class ul Jisu comes out bringing tea for both of them. It looks as though he tells her he has proposed to Tango Girl. She is happy. Jisu gets up from her chair and sits beside her father, her arm through his, her head on his shoulder. She is very happy and Dad is beaming, too. class center *****Meanwhile, over at Tango Girl's... class ul She is under the covers with the two Grams trying to sleep. She flashesback to Prof's "proposal." Under the covers, silently screaming and kicking her feet like crazy, TG can't stand the thrill of it all. Her mother wakes up and throws the covers off her, wanting to know what's wrong with her. TG doesn't reveal the truth and Grams's scolding wakes up M-Grams. The two mothers begin discussing things while TG puts her fingers in her ears.

They all settle down again, TG covering her head with her blanket. With her back to Grams and M-Grams, she exposes her face. An uncontrollable grin of happiness takes over her face. class center *****

Actually, I believe you are currently two episodes behind the SoCal schedule. The movie theater/waking up episode was #21. Our SoCal "proposal" episode last night was #23.

Wooo you guys will like it, in regards to the proposal, this is exactly what my husband said to me when he proposed .He said (exact words) "Will you come and live in my house forever?".............eh, that can mean many things...like going in his house and living like roommate...LOL.. not that roommates live together forever!

But thought that was interesting choice of wording. And back then I was 19 and I said "umm..okay, if my parents let me."

If it makes any difference we are from Bangladesh. LOL.

K-Drama: 하늘만큼 땅만큼 (As Much As Heaven and Earth/High as the Sky, Wide as the Earth)

After watching tonights episode ( 22) I find that I have to take back all of the mean things that I have said about Groomie. I realize that he is just a poor soul trying to survive in a house full of crazy, willful women. It is wonderful how this series allows me to see everyone's point of view in the space of a few minutes.

Poor RM, yes I feel sympathy for her especially since she was sitting alone weeping at an otherwise empty dinner table. Even the hardest of hearts would have felt for her. Anyway, poor RM just seems to want some attention. Her daughters no longer need her, she is estranged from her husband; she is just plain lonely and blue. Perhaps she feels that Groomie will pay attention to her if she continually asks him to do things for her.

Now both of her daughters seem to believe that she is overbearing, their opinions seem just as valid as her husband's who just seems to want to keep the peace.

Groomie 's actions were admirable: he made his wife apologize to her mother for being rude, he was willing to give up a date with his wife to have a family dinner with RM, he even wanted to bring her flowers to pleasee her as is his duty. Also to his credit, he called up his father to encourage him to be kind to "elder grandmother."

His heart is obviously in the right place, it is just that he has some personal issues with LB that irk me, but perhaps I can overlook them concidering the layers of his character that were revealed tonight. He deserves high praise and I am not to proud to give it to him.

I can't wait until the big proposal. Why do we have to be so far behind? Ah, the anticipation!

I really couldn't believe EunJu tonight . Even though I am from a different culture ,I couldn't believe how she totally diregarded SangHyeong's request to go with him to his family's.

She only got out of bed when her own parents ( especially dad ) ordered her too . I think her self centered petulance has gone way too far . She doesn't even look pretty anymore - she is pouting all the time .

Let me get this straight ....she couldn't use the bathroom because there was no bidet ???? emoticon

I find it hard to believe that she could go back to sleep after that .

I'll bet the parent's estrangement stems from just such an action ....and the anger and hurt went from days to months to years .

That is sad .It is hard to bridge a gap like that

Addie.... When Bridey went home to use a bathroom that has a bidet that was the end for me... This girl is beyond selfish. She loves herself and only cares what herself wants. She isn't going to put herself out for anyone, even one she 'claims' to love. She isn't capable of loving someone.

So Bridey is a self serving, cold hearted, rude ... whatever and her little sister, IMO, is unstable. The previews show Sis at the movies with LB and giving Jisu the brush off.... It was like she was going to make sure Jisu wouldn't sit with them or something.

RM is exactly like Bridey. RM can't understand why her husband is being cold to her. After all, she helped him save face by PAYING someone to perform the family rites. She just can't understand that family isn't about money. Family isn't about class. Family is who you keep that helping hand out to. Family is who you spend the holidays with.

I totally agree with RM's husband (sorry, don't know the guys name or nickname). He said Groomie would turn out just like him. He's so right. I see it coming.

Groomie loves his family. He is trying hard to be a good son to his own family/parents and also to Bridey's family. He has a good heart. I'm confused about him and LB though. He seems to care a lot for LB and wants LB to be close to the parents because he knows his parents love LB but is he really ashamed of LB? IF he is, then he is acting like his snotty wife.

Good Morning,

Tonight, Wednesday, we will see eps. 23 in NJ and I believe NY does too. In Calif., you saw 23 on Monday. I think Philly might be on a totally different eps. like they were on past dramas. I guess you can't lump the East coast into one schedule.

TG is so funny. She reminds me of a school girl with a really bad crush. Any inkling of his interest towards her puts her in a spin. I just love watching her.

I liked Groomie from the start. He is loyal to family and doesn't want to make waves.
There has to be something else that went on way back when, about his relationship with LB that we don't know about. I don't like that there is virtually no brotherhood there.

Not sure of the episode number but LB was carrying Eunha on his back and Jisu appeared, then Groomie to take Eunha home...Jisu and LB walked and talked, I think Jisu and LB will end up together eventually.
Jisu will probably stand back for Eunha and it will take all he's got to get Jisu to go with him throughout much of the story. Just my feeling.

I don't like RM at all right now. I was all for Bridey telling her mother to back off Groomie but I understand the culture shock of her mouthing off to her mother.
RM twisted it all around about the expensive furniture or whatever it was, and wanted Groomie to fix it with her, she didn't trust anyone else. I thought she sounded pathetic.
She's now living a life of her own making.

If what all you are talking about with the Prof."s "come to me" may be a proposal, and they do marry...gee, I hope we get to see some romantic hugs here. My thinking is we may not. I know TG would be up for it and is all dreamy but I'm not so sure about the Prof. He may need to lighten up in the romance department. But then again, we haven't really seen a courtship yet either. He sure is a hunk!
