Re: K-Drama: 하늘만큼 땅만큼 (As Much As Heaven and Earth/High as the Sky, Wide as the Earth)
Ah, Lumicite, so funny! Great looking slippers!
I didn't notice them in this drama, but slippers have bugged me more than once. Not that people wear them, but that they often snag my attention in some really dramatic scene--there's the hero and the heroine angry with one another, one stomps out having said his or her piece-----in white slippers!
The first time I saw that, I couldn't stop watching the slippers. How can you be angry with someone and stomp out of the room if you have to stop and take off the white slippers and put on your shoes!!!
I agree, Groomie hit a new low tonight. We'll have to start calling him JellySpine.
LB was so cute tonight--there he was telling Jisu what a man in love would feel for his beloved, all the while he was thinking about her. Well, if he--and we--get lucky, those two will end up together. Oh, yes, one more thing--Eunha has her best scenes with Groomie, that's when she seems the most reasonable. I just don't like her when she's chasing LB. (I've forgotten what LB stands for--Lost Boy?)

K-Drama: 하늘만큼 땅만큼 (As Much As Heaven and Earth/High as the Sky, Wide as the Earth)
Awww, Groomie was so sweet talking to M-Grams, he almost made me forget what a little worm he is. He is so contradictory.
And did I miss something somewhere, why does richmom all of sudden want LB to see Eunha. Wasn't it just yesterday that was talking about him as he was the devil himself?
Speaking of LB, I think we should all chip and buy him a new pair of pants, it seems like he has been wearing the same pair since he came back from the army I'm sorry but I notice silly things like this.
I hate to say this, and forgive me all of you who are holding out hope for tango girl and the Professor (sounds like the title of a sitcom, doesn' it?), but I think she is out of luck. The professor seems like a player to me, he just does not seem that into her, at least not as into her as she is into him.
And finally, the actress who plays Grams is really a beautiful woman, noticed this when she was sleeping since her face was not twisted up into her usual pouty scowl. I agreee with nsheldon, I think the character of Grams really does like m-grams too, its just that there is too much "birth-mom vs. mom who raised them" baggage between them.
Have a good weekend everyone.

Groomie... Am I the only one in love with him???? No, he has no spine. Yes, he is too accommodating to his MIL, but he is just so enjoyable to look at ... I can't be mad at him... Oh, I think the majority of our members who participate in the discussion have expressed more like than dislike for Groomie. Personally, I don't find him attractive at all physically, yet I don't dislike his personality. I don't consider him a wimp, or spineless. I see him as simply trying to settle into a new and very strange environment—completely unlike he had expected. He takes respect for his elders very seriously, but he's reaching the end of his rope with RichMom's ridiculous and completely degrading treatment of him. Still, he would never cross over that line of speaking up in front of the entire family and putting down his mother-in-law as we saw Bridey doing.
Prof is a "player"? I could never have that opinion of him in a million years. He doesn't strike me in any way, shape, or form as using women as a playboy does. He doesn't seem to have any women in his life except Tango Girl. If I were to fault him, it would be only from the aspect that he needs to actually think about her and how he is treating her. If he is truly serious about never marrying her, he should make that clear and leave TG no hope at all, other than as friends.
However, Prof told his son he is considering getting married and I think he is not playing TG along. He obviously has some fears and concerns, but maybe he's finally giving up on the age disparity and is realizing TG truly loves him and isn't going to be seeking a husband elsewhere.
As for Jisu and LB, I still think they'll end up together. Psycho Girl will be a diversion for a while, but in the end I think (hope) we'll see him with LB. I do think she really cares about him. Her tears for Rich Boy Friend were a little confusing, though. She knows she does NOT want to live the life she will be forced into if she marries into his family. She does not love him enough to make that sacrifice. Her sadness toward RBF seemed to lean more toward feeling truly sorry and sad over having hurt him so deeply. But, we'll see.

K-Drama: 하늘만큼 땅만큼 (As Much As Heaven and Earth/High as the Sky, Wide as the Earth)
The actress who plays the RM has a program on the other KBS channel which was very interesting today. It dealt with the two young actresses who committed suicide this year.
She said that it is very difficult for young actresses in their 20's for many reasons. Some of which were the need for them to feel beautiful without having plastic surgery, to have the right figure, to be popular and to get many parts. If they have plastic surgery, it should not be noticeable.
There is tremendous pressure put on them by the media and their fans. Some can not handle this.
Most unfortunate was when they died, the media kept putting forth rumors and innuendoes about their lives.
RM asked for this practice to stop and for the media and the public to be more understanding. She felt uncomfortable speaking about this, but felt it was important that she say this as a fellow actress.
I have seen this actress on many shows and always gives an outstanding performance.

Oops, very poor choice of words. I did not mean player in the popular sense. What I really wanted to say was that he just does not seem to realize that this woman is serious, he seems to be merely playing with her, flirting but with no serious intentions toward her. This is strange to me because she is more than up front about her affections and he seems to brush off her every advance. He agrees to meet her but is still keeping it strictly casual. I don't know, the writing seems to be on the wall but Tango Girl can't seem to see or understand it. Only time will tell.

Re: K-Drama: 하늘만큼 땅만큼 (As Much As Heaven and Earth/High as the Sky, Wide as the Earth)
I've seen RM, Kim Ja ok, in More than Words Can Say, So This is Love, My Name is Kim Sam Soon (she was KSS's mother), On the Prairie, and I think others that I can't remember right now. Once I saw her on the awards program, laughing and so beautifully gowned, and so different from the characters I've seen her portray. She was a presenter, I think. When I first started watching kdramas, I thought that she and Yoon Yoo joon (Mrs P in PIH) traded off parts on each succeeding daily drama.
Groomie hasn't grabbed my emotions until tonight. When he was talking to his father, he was so different, so warm and supporting, part of the family. He is really out of his depth in Bridey's family. He's trying to relate to them the way he does his own family, but they are so different, so dysfunctional.
Eunha is so possessive. LB is letting himself in for a world of hurt, I think, because she won't let go. If what he said before was true, he just wants to take care of her like he would a sister, but he's going to have the devil of a time convincing her of that.

Re: K-Drama: 하늘만큼 땅만큼 (As Much As Heaven and Earth/High as the Sky, Wide as the Earth)
I also love the actress who plays RM. I have seen her in 3 previous dramas and come to think of it in all 3 she plays mother of daughters only!! For ex, One Million Roses, My Name is Kim Sam Soon and now this one! What’s up with that? Anyone saw any drama where she plays mom of a son?? LOL Anyway, I LOVED her in MNIKSS.
I can’t multi quote here ; so, without quoting I’ll add some comments.
I think, I started to like Groomie a little. I don’t think he is spineless, actually I think he is very caring. And on the same note, I don’t understand his not feeling brotherly attachment to LB. He seems very responsible, respect elders and in a word “very traditional” who has good values. But his not treating LB as a real brother is kind of mystery to me. I absolutely hated the fact that he didn’t mention LB to his in-laws! But then again, what about his mom? She should have said something about LB, I’m sure two families had meeting before the wedding took place, right? And no one bothered to mention LB to the in-laws? I find that strange!
Bub disgust me to the core.
I’m not surprised that the newly wed couple didn’t talk about children. I don’t understand Eunji at all. She acts like she from another planet.
As for who I want to end up with LB? I think, this is also one of the dramas for me (and for daily drama it’s kind of annoying cause it runs for such a long time ) I really don’t care about that. I’m not crazy about either of those two Jisu or Eunha…so whatever. But, I would Not want LB to end up with Eunha only because she is so immature. I know this will never happen, but I wish the RBF would show up and somehow make Jisu fall for him! And somehow make his family like Jisu the way she is, LOL. And LB really should concentrate to become a University student and be successful and find his identity. In his current state getting trapped in triangle is the last think he needs.
What’s Eunha’s malfunction?
I don’t know if this scene was edited in CA, but Eunha’s malfunction is she wasn’t given a chance to mature by her mother. In one of the scenes she told LB that she was raised as a Barbie Girl, her mom treated her like a Barbie Doll. She did everything for her never given an opportunity to grow up. And the reason why RM did that was because she was born late. I think, by that she meant RM got pregnant with her late (probably trying for long- thus the 8 years age difference with her and Eunja) so, RM totally spoiled her. That made me feel little bad for Eunha, but still I think she is a psycho. And personally I find this interesting that because a baby came late so let’s spoil the baby, make him/her completely immature. YIKES. I hope I don’t become like RM in real life
