class p Episode 19 (Tuesday) - Deleted Scenes

After RichMom tucks the fully clothed Eunha into bed... class ul RM leaves, Eunha calls her father on the phone! He's in his study, she gets semi-hysterical, mentioning her mother and Muyeong over and over. Dad tries to calm her down, but it doesn't look as though he's telling her what she wants to hear. The conversation seems to end with Dad telling her to be reasonable and patient, and with Eunha being a little calmer but still frustrated and upset.

Meanwhile, RichMom is sitting alone on the edge of her bed, upset about life. class center *****
Bubs at home alone on the phone.... class ul Maybe he's talking with his kids in the States. He is very happy. Grams comes home, she sits down to talk with him. He wants to play cards and eat. Grams gets up to get M-Grams and discovers she's not in her room. Bubs doesn't care... he just wants to eat and play. class center *****Jisu walking down the street at night... class ul LB comes up behind her and taps her on shoulder. As they're walking, her phone rings. It is Groomie calling her phone, looking for LB. (G had left text message with LB to contact him as soon as he received this message, but apparently LB just shined him on). Jisu hands him the phone. Groomie wants to meet with him. LB leaves to meet Groomie at the restaurant. Groomie asks him why he hasn't been answering his phone... class center *****Grams and Tango Girl in their room.... class ul Prior to the final big blowout, Grams gets all upset and TG drags her off to their bedroom. She tries to calm down her mother. Then they hear the loud arguing between MyeongTae, Taesik and M-ja in the front room. TG tries to forcibly keep her mother out of the argument, but she pulls away, rushes out and enters the fray. Then we have the final scene where M-ja yells at her mother, "Will it make you happy if we just ignore her (M-grams)?! class center *****

Re: K-Drama: 하늘만큼 땅만큼 (As Much As Heaven and Earth/High as the Sky, Wide as the Earth)

Lumicite... WELCOME to the family. We all (like nchristi mentioned) have been where you are...... Alone and loving Kdramas. We were all so happy & thankful to find this board and others who love the dramas also. So feel right at home.

Ok, so the photo the Prof was looking at did have TG in it. I wasn't sure cuz it went by so fast. I wonder what is behind the Prof's thinking. I suppose it is that he feels he has been married before, TG hasn't. He has children who are grown, TG has none (and most likely would want one). He still looks on her as his student, so maybe he feels 'wrong' in having a relationship with her. I think he has feelings for her but thinks he isn't suitable for her so wants her to find someone else.

I can't believe a couple would get married without ever having discussed 'family'/'children'.... When a couple starts dating and gets to know one another, that sort of thing just comes up. You discuss your future together once you decide your in love. I don't believe a couple would marry without having some clue as to how the other one felt about having a family.

I'm on Groomie's side with this one. I think SHE is being unreasonable. How many men would NOT want to have a family? It would be assumed that he'd want children. So she should have said something prior to marrying him. And, I think something this important should NOT be shelved. He needs to let her know that... No family... No marriage. Or, tell her to have a child for him and HE will take care of it.

K-Drama: 하늘만큼 땅만큼 (As Much As Heaven and Earth/High as the Sky, Wide as the Earth)

First let me thank all of you for your warm welcomes, they are very much appreciated.

You can always tell a great drama when it raises issues that do not allow you to merely sit back and relax. I was very much disturbed by rich mom's blatant display of ignorant prejudice against her son-in-laws adopted brother. But I was sorely disappointed by her son-in-laws failure to rightousely and indignantly defend his brother. I am also amazed that after so many years of living with his adopted brother he does not feel kinship with him in his heart as his wife very aptly pointed out.
I was also disurbed by abandoned sons rudeness toward to his birth mother. I honestly do not think a man of age would treat a stranger as coldly as he did his birth mother. Granted he is angry, hurt and confused by her abandonment, but to speak so callously to an adult, well ... its just inexcusable. This is a great show, its been a long time since I was so involved with the plot and the characters of a fictional drama.

I think part of Bubs' rudeness towards his birth mother was that he didn't want his adoptive mother to feel left out. Adoptive mother seems childish and is very jealous over any possibility that those two kids would be kind to their birth mother.

MG has fault also. She's known where those kids are and she used the adoptive mother to get to them. She plowed right in there and actually moved in that house. She sees it is crowded there but she didn't care.

Groomie... My beautiful Groomie... I love looking at this man but he sure is spineless. How could he not defend his brother? He is so obsessed with making RM be accepting of him that he would agree to keep his lowly adoptive (not even adopted) brother away from his sister in law. If Groomie would stand up to RM maybe she'd back down. He's a beautiful man but he is just too weak for my tastes.

I only feel sorry for LB. If it were me I'd be trying to defend myself when Bubs and that Grandma treats him so coldly. I'd have to say something! But he is always about not doing anything to upset his family. It's like he thinks he'll get banished as a family member if he says anything. He must feel like he's family only by a thread and doesn't want to do or say anything to upset anyone. Poor guy.

I still kinda think they will put LB and that crybaby together. I like her in a way because she isn't a snob like her sister but I think I already had my heart set on LB and Jisu. I wonder if the Prof would be disappointed if his daughter and LB started dating. After all, LB didn't even finish high school. A professor would certainly want his daughter to marry someone better than that.

Speaking of the Prof.... What is he doing? (oh, this is another man I LOVE to look at). He doesn't want TG but he keeps stringing her along. And he does it all while pretending to be so innocent. Every time he meets her and spends time with her he is encouraging her. I'm not happy about what he's doing. But, I think these two will definitely end up together. That's a good thing because they are a great couple!

How does the Professor know LB, can't recall if they met. And how does Jisu know Groomie? I must of missed something.
Eunha is okay, she kinda reminds me of Snowcone too, she's going after the guy no matter what. She's spoiled alright but right now she is liking LB a whole lot, she probably won't care what his family story is. This could really become interesting except I'd like it better if the guy did the chasing.
And I still want LB with Jisu. They are so cute together, love the playground scenes.

Groomie looked ashamed when LB showed up in the house with Eunha. (I'm 2 days behind most of you.) Was it because of his clothes, or most likely it was because he never mentioned a brother. I didn't like how he acted, it was really hurtful to LB. Gee, I would have felt hurt too if I were LB.

I love seeing the Prof. too! What a lucky daughter to have a dad like him...he's not bad looking either, lol, no wonder why TG has it bad for him all these years.

The scenes I really like are the Prof. with Jisu and TG and LB with Jisu.
I can't stand Bubs but I can understand his feelings about a mother who suddenly shows up after all these years. He shouldn't have hurt her like that but that had to be his bottled up anger.

Was BGram the housekeeper for the the little boy in MSMD? I know her from somewhere.

Welcome Lumicite! I'm new here too.

The first connection I can think of between Prof and LB is his daughter, Jisu. Jisu and LB have been best friends since grade school. Then there is Tango Girl. LB is her nephew (via adoption) and they live together. Prof has probably known LB since he was a little kid and there has been a scene or two where Prof asks Jisu or TG how LB is doing these days.

Jisu would know Groomie because he is LB's older brother and she's lived through all of LB's anguish as a kid, feeling the outsider. Additionally, Jisu is close with Bridey and Eunha on a couple of levels. First, their fathers work together and are connected on a regular basis. Second, Jisu also has work connections with Bridey in the movie production business. Maybe they were classmates, as well. ?

Well, I haven't been able to get a connection to the KBS VODs for two days, now. I'll try again today, but I won't be able to do deleted scenes until this problem clears up.

Thanks Smoochie 1 (I am lovin' your name), its great to be a part of a new family.

Whoo hooo, what a night. Emotions certainly did run high this evening didn't they!

Where can I begin. Well, at the risk of sounding like Johnny One Note, I am just "too through" with Groomie. If he thinks that admiting to being a coward is covering up the fact that he is a spineless worm, he is very much mistaken. Poor LB, the only one in his corner is Eunha, and he doesn't even know it. My girl Eunha was the heroinne of the evening, she said exactly what Groomie should have said. She stood up for LB and I hope she gets a chance to follow through. Good for you Eunha. And how about Groomie actually agreeing to give rich mom LB's phone number? That was the capper, talk about an invasion of privacy. He does not cease to amaze me with his callousness to his own family. Ok, anit-Groomie rant over... sorry...

Now on to Bubs, did I hear him correctly, did he have the nerve to compare LB to spineless Groomie and make it seem like spineless was better than sweet, conciderate LB. There is no justice, that poor Kid, there seems to be no end to the humilition that he must suffer.

I have been very mean to Groomie so I will close by saying something nice about him, he was wearing fabulous slippers tonight, did you see them, they were awesome.

Re: K-Drama: 하늘만큼 땅만큼 (As Much As Heaven and Earth/High as the Sky, Wide as the Earth)

Technical note: I have been unable to access episode 20. My computer guru ran me through a bunch of stuff and decided it is something on KBS's end. For a couple days I could not access any of the current dramas we are watching. However, when he had me go to an old drama from a year ago, the episodes came right up. His conclusion was that perhaps they have moved to a different server or perhaps made some digital access changes (don't remember the correct terminology here, but it's to keep the wrong people out) and it somehow kept me out, too.

What would happen is I could get into KBS and the VOD page. But as soon as I would click on the VOD to watch it, it would begin buffering for only about 1/2 a second then abort. One other change I've noticed since I've had this trouble for the last few days is that when I used to fast forward, there would be no sound and the picture frames would jump from one point to the next. Just before I couldn't access episode 20, fast forward would be a smooth stream and the voices would be like Mickey and Minnie.

So, just now I've been able to access episode 21. We'll see if I continue to get in tomorrow, etc. I will also check Chil Princesses and River, which I was also unable to access these few days. On with the deleted scenes while I still have my connection up and running! class p Episode 21 (Thursday) - Deleted Scenes

M-Grams comes home with Bubs... class ul M-ja takes the sack of ribs into the kitchen and smiles to herself, relieved that M-Grams is home. Bubs goes to his room and flashes back to his meeting with his bio-mom at the bus stop... how happy she was to see him. He pounds his heart and feels for her.

Grams and M-Grams in the bedroom. Grams is still her persnickity self, but their conversation is calm and heartfelt. Grams seems more accepting of the situation and like she really wants M-Grams to stay. class center *****
At the movie theater... class ul Prof wakes up Tango Girl. She's totally asleep and keeps yawning. Prof smiles and laughs at her. As they stand up to leave, she stumbles on the stairs and lands in his arms. Face-to-face... well, you know the usual scene of getting dangerously close... class center *****Back at RichMom's, Groomie is busy working on the computer in his room... class ul RM calls him several times, loudly, from downstairs. He interrupts his work and runs downstairs. She sends him on an errand (pick up Eunha?). Eunju is coming in just as her husband is running out. Mom is worried about Eunha. Eunju is slightly annoyed that her mother is using Groomie as an errand boy. class center *****Jisu in restaurant eating with her brother (this may not have been deleted)... class ul Sounds like he is complaining more about their father possibly remarrying. Also perhaps about her getting married—letting Mr. Money Bags slip through her fingers? Sounds like he mentions Muyeong's name and Jisu pinches him hard on his hand, causing him to nearly drop his cup of coffee. He gets up and walks over to her side of the table and hugs her. She hits him really hard in the ribs with her elbow, gets up and leaves. class center *****Prof and Tango Girl driving home from the movies... class ul Prof is laughing; TG isn't. Maybe she is embarrassed that he let her sleep and make a fool of herself (looked like she might have been drooling in the theater). He is very light hearted in the car and she acts distant and angry. He drops her off at home, while in the distance LB is watching how sad and dejected she is. class center *****
