If Yeo Bong Soon is a country hillbilly, Nam Bong Ki is the city's equivalent. Even his family's bathroom is located "outside".

One of the differences between this drama and most other K-dramas is that we didn't know a bit about Nam Bong Ki's background except for what is "presently" shown to us. It's very much like a mystery, with clues dropped here and there that finally comes together.

I remember how dramaok was presently surprised by such an unraveling of Dal Ja's Spring Kang Tae Bong, as well.

I love that Like Candy version, too. It's really one of my favorite K drama songs. I remember how surprised I was when I found out who sang it. He doesn't have a great voice, but I still like it emoticon

It's on at 10:30 here and too late for me to try and stay awake. Not that I can't just put the DVD in emoticon

You should have seen how nervous Min Ki was at the Japan Fan Meeting. I thought this particular live rendition of the Like Candy II was pretty good, considering his state of mind. At the press conference, held just right before his schedule Fan Meeting, he didn't hide the fact--he specifically discussed how tense he was to the Japanese press.

I'm so proud of him...despite his back condition, Min Ki stood and shook each of the 1500+ fans who came to the meeting. Not only did he shake their hands, but he listened intently to each of their comments and responded in return.

His walk across the stage was very funny and I wouldn't have guessed that he was nervous. I'm always amazed of how appreciative K stars are to their fans. I really don't believe you'd find too many American stars willing to stand and shake hands with 1500 of his/her fans.

I really like this series, it's a blast to watch. It's just fun!

Some of my favorite scenes in the recent episodes were with the kitchen ladies, and the one with YBS peeling all the potato at blazing speed with the spoon. LOL (The facial expression of the other kitchen lady was too funny). I don't usually care for things like hairstyles but the other kitchen lady (Bar Lady in Super Rookie, Mom in Korea Secret Agent), she got a new hairstyle a little into the series and the short curly hair doesn't suit her at all!

NBK's character is hilarious. He's such a goof and a catalyst for the comedic moments.

I'm really enjoying this show! Bong-gi is hilarious with all of his twitching and jerking! He just cracks me up. I the beginning of the show he really irked me, but as time goes on I'm starting to really like him. Now Bong-soo is really bothersome to me at this point. I don't know why she gets on my nerves but she really does. That whole moping thing after finding out about Dr. Chang being married. GET OVER IT!!!! Seems to me she was more upset over that than finding out that her Grams wasn't her real grandmother and that her father is the "president". Sorry for ranting! emoticon

Love Mr. Nam and the kitchen lady. They are just too cute! They know darn well they like each other but are both to stubborn to admit it at this point.
Love all the kitchen ladies. The big one(can't remember her name) just cracks me up! She was so funny when she first saw Robocop guard! I fell out during the pool scene! LOL!!! Then she swoons in the kitchen! LOL!!! Wouldn't it be funny if they got those two characters together! emoticon

I think bong-soon will get thru to Dr. Chang's wife. Oh and it looks like our Mr. Chang may be developing feelings for Bong-soon. I guess she is a "woman" in his eyes after all! emoticon
