YAY!!! I'm done. I see that the they are up to Ep 24 on Veoh . My subs were fair at best. They were pretty bad, but luckily the fan subbed version had already gotten me so far into the story that it really didn't matter much . I never would have liked LMK character from the start but he is just so adorable and positive that you can't help but to like him by the end of the show. I have never watch a drama with this many episodes. It expected it to get slow and drag in the middle but it didn't seem to happen. I really wasn't ready for it to end. I hope to find this drama with good subs someday.

When I saw him in EP 1, just from the look he gave through the sideview mirror as he passed by his father in the car, as well as saving the child, I knew there was something more about him, so from then on, I made the effort to understand his behavior, his words.

Re: K-drama: 진짜 진짜 좋아해 (Really Really Like You)

I am completely ecstatic!

I received the following from Tom Larsen of YA Entertainment: class blockquote I know my staff member Katie already responded to your email a few months ago. But I re-read your email today, and I wanted to reply. Thank you for your email. It's been so nice communicating with you over the years.

We will be releasing "Be Strong, Geum-soon!" in March or April 2008
(depending on how quickly MBC can send us the raw materials). I am very
excited about this one. I've wanted to release it since late 2005... but because of many issues, we were not able to. Because of the length, we might need to break it up into 3-4 volumes. But I am so happy to bring this wonderful drama and story to the US.

We will also be releasing "I Really Really Like You" sometime during April/May 2008. I have heard many things about the ending (I am waiting for our version to watch the entire show from start to finish). I really like Eugene, and I am excited to see Lee Min Ki in this role (he plays the bodyguard, right?).

I am really trying to get "Conspiracy in the Court." I am pushing really hard to make it happen. Wish me luck!

Yes, I wish we could have released "Country Princess" sooner. We did our best, but it just didn't work out 2-3 years ago. Better late than never.

Do you still run/moderate your forum site? How is that going?

Thank you for all your suggestions, comments, etc.

Happy Holidays to you,

Tom
The first e-subbed daily drama subbed by an independent company! I hope you guys try out MBC's Be Strong, Geum-soon. In my personal opinion, it's better than Bizarre Bunch and PIH (which I felt copied from it). Not to mention, it's much more realistic...and I'm very much for dramas that are realistic.

And I'm so happy about RRLY! 2 dramas with Lee Min Ki in the same year!!!

Now I just need to press Tom for the release of Dal Ja's Spring and A Sloppy Inquiry Office.

2 dramas with Lee Min Ki to be released in the same year (and within months of each other, too!)

Be Strong, Geum-soon also stars Lee Min Ki, as 1 of the 2 brother-in-laws to the title character.

K-drama: 진짜 진짜 좋아해 (Really Really Like You)

Finished watching the first episode tonight. Did anyone else see it?

It was a pretty good start. Like in most K-Dramas the first episode was simply getting to know the characters. I like how there's many faces in this series that we've seen before and indeed recently.

Apart from the leads (nice to see Yoo Jin/Eugene again, have not seen her in a K-Drama since Wonderful Life - enjoyed her in that one)

Jang Yong (Gardener, Bong Ki's Father) - Director in Air City, father in Attic Cat
Yun Yeo-Jeong (one of the kitchen ladies) - Hwang Jini, mother in Ruler of Your Own World
Chef - Director in White Tower
Kwon Ki Sun (one of the kitchen ladies) - Eric's mom in KSA, Bar lady in Super Rookie

The story so far is a little disorganized, seems like they threw a lot of small pieces at us. Hopefully this will come together in the next few episodes.

Just a guess here and I could be totally wrong, we see an old picture in the episode of a young girl and someone who looks like the President, I wonder if he's related to Bong Soon?

Wonder if we're going to be in for more tree climbing scenes. LOL

SuperRookie, which collection of scenes did you consider as disorganized?

I also hope you got to see the real opening sequence of EP 1 and not the one that started at the kitchen cafeteria. The real opening sequence of EP 1 should have started right before the OP. If you go to content.mbc.co.kr and dl the partial e-subbed clip of EP 1 they have there of the drama, you can at least see the real opening sequence to the drama.

Re: K-drama: 진짜 진짜 좋아해 (Really Really Like You) (AZN TV Channel)

Although I watched this when it ran on KBS last year, caught it again on Veoh, and have my own copy (with hysterically, horrible subs!), I wish that I had AZN TV cuz I'd do it all over again. I could go on and on about how funny Lee Min-Ki was and how cute little Da Bin was, but the real reason that this series captivates me is the fabulous Eugene. emoticon

The quintessential girl next door (provided that your next door neighbor is also the homecoming queen! emoticon )

Enjoy!!

P.S. They're running is back to back with Thank You? How awesome is that? emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

I felt at least within the context of episode 1 alone, I was thrown a lot of different scenes with a lot of different characters. Other than the main focus surrounding Bong Soon's character there was a lot to follow that I didn't get yet. Hopefully these different tracks of the story will come to more and more focus as I see more episodes.

Creidesca thanks for the link! emoticon I'm happy you noted it, so I and us new viewers can see it. They did not show that opening, indeed the version we saw opened with the kitchen scene.

Looking forward to hearing more of other's opinions and those of you who have seen it, your thoughts as guides for us new viewers will be especially welcome. emoticon
