K-drama: 진짜 진짜 좋아해 (Really Really Like You)
hi everyone,
do you guys miss me?? hehehe. it's been awhile. I missed this drama so much when I was out of state. I searched every channels possible but no luck (didn't want to go on youtube b/c I was afraid I might run into spoiler).
Anyways, thanks to all those that have been provided comments/deleted scenes and mini recaps. I read all your postings to keep up...hehe. I did taped the show while I was away but my channel wasn't very clear (boo).
First and foremost, I LOVE BONGI. He was soooo sweet when he took Bong Soon out to skate and encouraging her to get up and cont. on. The looks on his face was priceless. Minki as an actor is great. He can make you hate him so much w/his ranting expression for one scene and totally love him for another scene.
Second, why haven't Bong Soon notice Bongi??? How much more does he need to spell out to her that he LIKES her. I love it when he said (paraphrasing) that he's laying on the ice to cool his heart...hehe (and I love the heart they drew around them before falling down). I guess love must be really blind. To me, the Dr. didn't do much for BS other than giving her study material. It's always been her giving to him, whereas we saw BG gradually doing everything for BS even when it's killing him. But then again, w/o these dramas, we won't have one to see...hehe.
anyways, happy watching this week everyone. only 10 more to go?? hikhik.

bubu13 you are quite welcome. That drama just gets better as it goes along too.
Thanks for the pics, those are very cute! That was nice of Minki to personally post those pics. He seems like he would be a really cool guy.
Welcome back funniegirlie. Yes, not many episodes to go! I think once this drama is over I am going to either have to buy it or go back and watch all the episodes I taped. There is so much that goes on I feel like I need to watch it again to get it all.
JiSoo's development so far is good and I do hope the writers give her her life back, or at least what they can. Can someone fully recover from dementia? I didn't think it was possible, but then again I don't know much about it. I think it will be interesting to see if she recovers more, if she will notice the attachment her husband has to BS. She noticed it when she wasn't recovered so I am wondering if it will be even more apparant now, like it is with his mom. Seriously I think his mom should say something.
I do feel sorry for BS though because she is telling the DR. she will let go, she is trying to let go, but he just keeps pulling her back, intentionally or not...arrrgggghhh.. I guess we will see how this weeks episodes go, I can't wait!

class blockquote hobbitwebgirly wrote:Can someone fully recover from dementia? It's a K-drama. You can recover from anything, even being dead. In the one about the noodle factory, didn't the mother conveniently lapse into dementia so she could let slip the truth about how the factory was stolen only to spontaneously recover (without comment from anyone) by the end?

But then again, w/o these dramas, we won't have one to see...hehe.[Preface: I think these shows are fun to watch, but as Samuel L Jackson said about "Snakes on a Plane", not every movie is made to win an Academy award. I'm being a bit of a contrarian here, so if that bothers anyone, perhaps they should not read, or the administrator can void the post (and me).]
First, as pointed out above, if BS noticed BG, then the series would end sooner and who wants that?
Assumption: falling in love with someone is something that happens, it isn't something you have much control over. [Although what you do about it is.]
Usually in these drama triangles (quadrangles etc), I can't decide who should end up with whom. Or more correctly, my preference changes from episode to episode, or even more frequently, as different facets of the characters are developed.
But here, I think the doctor would be better off with a recovered wife and, having never succumbed to the obviously not inconsiderable charms of MinKi, have always felt the character of BG to be pretty much useless. I have already written earlier about why I think the doctor is a pretty admirable character and BG doesn't have much to offer.
In addition to the schooling, the Dr. also was the one who suggested BS move to the city in the first place. He is the one who is responsible for the major changes in her life. And what did he want in return? Absolutely nothing. He helped her out of the pure goodness of his heart. And he would have done more were it not for the inexplicable quirkiness of K-drama cell phones and other plot devices. Unfortunately for all, he did develop feelings for her after she fell for him. [It's too bad that they live in such a small place that they keep running into one another. :-)]
And what about BG's attitude toward BS? It was inconsiderate and rude from the start (their confrontation in her hut a clear portent of coming attraction). Who was responsible for this innocent young girl having to room with three strange men by eating her plant? Who moaned and whined and complained about letting her use his room in repayment or share anything? That's right, BG. Before BG started to like BS, he did nothing for her. Only after BG fell in love with BS (the first time he has been in love - with a person, not his shoes and outfits), did he start to do anything for her. Helping the pickpocket was something he never would have considered when he had no self interest in the family. The Dr. would have just because he is a nice guy. The original BG matches up much better with the dietician.

I somewhat agree...the ORIGINAL BG matches up with the dietician, but he has changed. I actually think that he did not start helping her just because he fell for her. A few episodes before he even realized how he felt he was warning her about the Dr., he was helping her out in little ways that I am not sure he even realized he was helping her out with.
I agree that overall the DR is very admirable, but think of all the selfish things he has done. BS feels so guilty because of his actions towards her, he has lost his wife a few times because of his being preoccupied with himself and BS and he won't leave her alone which he has been advised to do by not only BG, but his mother also.
I will admit I did like him a little more when he offered to pay for that patients treatment, but at what cost to the hospital and himself? If he loses his job how can he support his wife? And what would that do to his patient if he relapses and the DR is not there to help him becaue he lost his job? He doesn't think things through at all before expressing himself or taking action, which I think has lead to many of his problems.
BG was inconsiderate from the start, but as creidesca has pointed out many times, look at the example he has grown up with? His father is often rude, inconsiderate and harsh. BG really has nothing else to gain his personality from, except his mother, but we still don't know the full story on her. So, really although BG was a jerk in the beginning his personality is slowly changing for the better, and although now most of his kindess is directed towards BS we have seen scenes where his kindess is natural and not aided by BS, (ie the scene with the old man visiting the president...where BG bathed him and helped him etc...) so I think although he seems cold and unfeeling on the outside, I think that BG just doesn't really know any other way to express himself so he puts up a wall.
But, teal4two I do think you have some valid points...you are very brave to share them on this board with many of us who just adore BG. Kudos ;)
