If I'm not mistaken, in the show, the Head Chef is the only one who wears the green hat and red scarf. Well, I just noticed this promo pic... look what Bong-soon is wearing!

I really enjoyed the cut scenes... I hope we could see more of the step sister Soo-kyung... I dont think she is really bad either but just needed some guidance

Thanks again creidesca for the cut scenes. Less than 10 episodes? I am gonna be sad to see this drama end, there is such so much depth to it and storylines...I'm very impressed.

I still can't wait to see how BG and BS' relationship is going to play out. And will we ever see that Ajumma (the one who liked BG's dad) again? I wanted more with that story as well, but oh well I guess.

Thanks again creidesca.

Today I was watching TV Patrol World (Philippine news program) there was an interview with Eugene, and I was surprised to learn that she is also very fluent in English... it seemed strange since I've gotten used to her country girl accent. class blockquote

Actually if you have ever seen "Wonderful Life" with Eugene (which is actually an excellent drama and she is amazing in it) she speaks almost perfect English in the first couple of episodes. You can barely hear her accent, she's very, very fluent.

I haven't seen Wonderful Life, but I've heard it was very good. Is it available on DVD?
Believe it or not, RRLY is the very first K-drama that I've ever watched! I was flipping through the channels one evening and there was a scene between BG & BS walking home from the hospital? (I think it was EP 4?)... anyways, I was hooked from then on! Found this forum and here I am! emoticon

Wow, your first K-drama...well welcome to an addiction that never ends. My first drama was Prince's First Love and after that I was completely hooked and I think that was over 2 years ago.

Yes, Wonderful Life is available on DVD but you can also d/l it here: http://idols-unlimited.com/wonderful-life. I really recommend this drama. It is really sad, but it's so good. And the ending is cute.

Hey Bubu, thanks for looking up the price of the Dom Perignon. I wonder if the evil cook got reimbursed? That's a lot of money. [And they were planning on only one bottle for a state dinner?]

Re: K-drama: 진짜 진짜 좋아해 (Really Really Like You)

Is JiSoo going to fully recover? I hope so. That was a really heart-wrenching scene when she goes to bathe HyeWon and realizes she can't remember how. For anyone who has had a relative or friend develop Alzheimer's or a similar disease it is terrible to watch a mind disappear, especially when the person is aware of what is happening.
Despite what the doctors said the brain scans showed, I hope that she does return to the person she was. Considering that it won't make much difference to the plot, there is no reason the writers can't give her a break, and her daughter and husband.
JoonWon especially deserves this as he exhibits more character than anyone else. BongGi gets BongSoon and he is certainly undergoing quite the transformation into a mature responsible adult from the mouthy, profligate, looked down on by coworkers goof-off that he started the show as. On the other hand, JoonWon seems to have always behaved admirably:
1) He is a doctor despite being the President's son (can you imagine how much more a playboy the original BongGi would have been if he had been born in JoonWon's place?).
2) He was willing to spend his own money to cure patients when the hospital wouldn't (although such emotional involvement with patients would destroy him in the long run).
3) Although married in name only, he doesn't want to divorce and give up the shell that used to be JiSoo to his mother-in-law so he can start another life. [The dementia cases I am familiar with have been older people. It has to me much worse for everybody at JiSoo's age.]
The only complaint about him is that he eventually fell for BongSoon(*), who pursued him not knowing he was married. That is quite understandable given his homelife, or lack thereof. And even then he hasn't acted on his feelings.
(*) One thing I don't understand is why, when BongSoon was lost/broke/helpless on the streets early on, no one would help her. What's wrong with young Korean men?

[And they were planning on only one bottle for a state dinner?]Yeah, I was wondering how Bong-soon was going to pay for the bottle. How much do you think she gets paid for working at the Blue House? And how about Bong-gi, he must be paid very well being a Presidential guard, wouldn't you think? He must have some cash...we know he can afford all those toys and shoes, and he doesn't own a car, still lives at home.

And another thing that I've always wondered about, does Bong-gi carry his weapon at all times? I think the only time I've seen it was at the firing range and the one time he pointed it at Bong-soon during the kids garden party. I would think he would have some kind of concealed weapons permit.

hobbitwebgirly — Thanks for the link... I just watched about 20 min from the 1st episode, and I'm loving it already! emoticon
