Thank you for the warm welcome! I'm sure I'll enjoy my stay here. So many facts about RRLY I've learned on just my first visit. Thanks for all the cut scenes and translations. I looking forward to the rest of this series! emoticon

K-drama: 진짜 진짜 좋아해 (Really Really Like You)

ah I typed out a nice long post..then I realized I wasn't logged in -___- here I go again!

Okayy...I guess I am surprisingly disappointed at the fact that the President wasn't Bong Soon's real father and even more angered at the visual relief on Mr.Chang's face. I mean, really now. If he really only saw Bong Soon as a sister, he should've welcomed the fact that it could've been possible! This only lead to the garden scene which was just really...something that wasn't necessary =( Then when Bong Gi saw them eating together, it made me so sad when I saw him nervous about giving her the umbrella and asking her to dinner. It seems that Bong Gi always runs into them at the most unopportune moments =(

Re: K-drama: 진짜 진짜 좋아해 (Really Really Like You)

To start off my post...memorable scenes from EP 19:

emoticon I want to spat at that rain in the kitchen garden + cafeteria scene. And to give Bong-soon a slap too! "I don't want to be your sister..."?!

And just how much of Bong-soon does Joon-won really understand? He thought she might have been disappointed learning her father wasn't the President, but it's her mom that she's completely disappointed in! Bong-Gi knows BS so well...the first words out of mouth as he sat down on the lawn of the BH was "Fine, I'll find her for you." He seems to always witness BS when she's the most vulnerable. And doesn't it also look like it's some other particular person who gets the credit?

Bong-soon tells the President and First Lady:
"I'll pay you back for your kindness, time after time."

Well, the first thing she can do is STAY AWAY from the Dr. When it comes to their son, the President and First Lady take special care.

Hmm...will there be something going on between Bodyguard Yup and the pickpocket? Moonshik doesn't look like he even has a chance. Presidential guards thought as gang bangers?

Doesn't the Dr. know when he's overstayed his visit? Bong-gi's dad and Director Lee were quite uncomfortable with him there...they couldn't even go to the restroom or even go to bed! They have work the next day too! Not one moment in this episode did the Dr. even have his wife and child on his mind.

And notice how Bong-gi intends the opposite of what he says? In the scene above scene on the outside lawn of the BH, his next line was "Stop laughing! [BS was crying] I mean, stop crying."

Quite significant to EP 19's final scenes, as Bong-soon and a drunk Bong-Gi walk home:

BG: Bong-soon...I really hate you.
BS: I know that too.
BG: I hate you so much, I think I'm gonna die.
BG: Bong-soon...I hate the way you look. I hate that tacky dialect of yours. I hate how you're just as tall as my sitting height. I hate your selfish and boring body. And what I really hate [this part I think he really means what he says] is how you like some other man.
BG: I just hate it!
BG: I really, realy hate you, Bong-soon!

BS: I know how you feel.
BS: I know why you introduced me to Mr. Ju-Yup.
BS: I'll try to like someone else. Just give me some time.

BG: Who are you?
BG: What do you mean to me? Why do I feel twisted? Why do my eyes hurt with a headache because of you?

BS: Just go.
BS: Go! Aren't you going?

[Bong-gi puts his head on her shoulders]

Contrary to the title of the drama "Really, Really Like You" Bong-Gi uses "really, really hate you" to express/confess his feelings to BS. How it must hurt to not be able to have Bong-soon understand, especially when she says she thinks she knows. How can she think he hates her if he's noticed so much about her?

And what's w/ that look from the Dr.?

I was sad that Bong Soon wasn't the President's daughter, but I had a feeling she wasn't, just seems too early in the series for that. What I am looking forward to is her search for her mother, her scenes are hilarious! And the pickpocket's little sister, is this the first time she was shown? I don't remember her, or I must have missed something.
Personally, I think Bong Soon should have went with the black dress! emoticon
But my favorite scene was in the cafe when Bong Gi set up the double date between Bong Soon and Robocop. His facial expressions are priceless! This series gets better each week... see you tomorrow! emoticon

i kinda slack off in this drama. it seems like a good one. but i just watch it a few times.
so the girl ( is it bongsoon or bong gi?) is not the president's daughter. what did the president tell her? her mom abandoned her? so the president is her family's close friend? im lost now.
*whew* so she's not the doctor's relative. so they can like each other. hehe. but does the doctor like her? it seems so.
oh yeah i saw the screencap. she went on a blind date? why?

The President found her abandoned outside the front of a soup store. He only knows her real name is Yeo Yoon-Hee through a letter left by her mother with her. He does not know who her mother or father is. class blockquote oh yeah i saw the screencap. she went on a blind date? why?She did not know she would be going on a blind date. Bong-Gi thought by having her go on one, he'd be rid of his problems (The Dr. being the President's son, Bong-soon being hung up on him when he's clearly not single, but married and a father, with he, the Presidential bodyguard in between as a complete witness. Each little thing is supposed to be reported to the First Lady, but Bong-Gi, out of consideration for both the Dr. and Bong-soon hasn't enlightened her yet.) The purpose behind the blind date was to have Bong-soon find a new person to like. In an earlier episode, Bong-soon considers herself to be of high morals. The Dr. is clearly off-limits, not because he's the President's son, but that he's married and has a young daughter.

Bong-soon didn't seem to put too much effort in distancing herself from the Dr. until his daughter clearly told her father right in front of Bong-soon to have Bong-soon go home, that she has her own home. Bong-Gi knew if Bong-soon continues on this path, she'd be further hurt, thus the blind date.

However, the blind date, ends up adding to Bong-Gi's problems because of his own emotions towards Bong-soon, which led to the so-called "confession" of love at the end of EP 19, albeit in a strange way as he uses "hate" instead of "like." class blockquote *whew* so she's not the doctor's relative. so they can like each other. hehe. but does the doctor like her? it seems so.It just might have only relieved Bong-soon and the Dr. from having to feel that what they had was "wrong," but it did not do away with the fact that the Dr. has a wife, who has befallen with dementia for the past 3 years, and a young, impressionable daughter, who has yet to come to terms with her mother's illness. The only way for the two to truly like the other freely is if the Dr. divorces his sick wife, or his sick wife dies. However, Bong-soon will likely be plagued by the feeling that she had became a homewrecker, since it does not look like the Dr.'s wife will die anytime soon.

And what would this bespeak of the Dr.? What of his love? Will he abandon Bong-soon the same way as he would his sick wife because he could no longer handle her/when she's come to burden him that he could no take it? His wife had taken care of his every needs since they were 20, and he couldn't take his wife's illness anymore after 3 years?

Sofar, the Dr. has been running away--running away from his responsibilities, from his problems. In my estimation, he's a complete leech. He's sucked so much out of Bong-soon and instead of taking away her problems, he adds to it. I can feel why Bong-Gi is so fustrated. One moment he's able to take a pound off of her problems, but just a single sight of the Dr. and 10 more pounds is added. class blockquote hydexmyv wrote:

No, that scene was NOT cut from the episode. I think we basically got the full episode. That seems to be the case whenever an episode airs on Wed. But expect to have cuts, major cuts for the Thurs ep.

I thing Bong-Gi made a great choice...I didn't like the black dress at all. Not only was the hem shorter, the dress completely made her look "fat"

Since she's going on a blind date, and the blind date happens to be Bong-Gi's co-worker, I don't think that particular black dress was appropriate. Bodyguard Yup likely woudn't have liked it either.

K-drama: 진짜 진짜 좋아해 (Really Really Like You)

hydexmyv and creidesca I agree with both of you on the innappropriatness of the Dr/BS situation. Why is it that now that she knows who Bong Soon is that the president's wife isn't more wary of the situation with her son? I still would be. Clearly only Bong Gi has noticed his "not so brotherly" feelings towards Bong Soon. That Dr. better shape up. He has no right to be jealous or upset (last scene) when he sees BG and BS together.

bTW that las scene was great! It was clear to me what BG was trying to say, if only BS wasn't so stupid and hooked on the Dr. she might understand too.

Also, my electricity went out for some of the program, from the scene when BS's half sister is going through that guys wallet to the scene with the photographer and the nutrionist. Can anyone fill me in? Thanks in advance.
