English subtitles available.

official hp: http://www.imbc.com/broad/tv/drama/reallylikeu

Running Time: 50 minutes
Starring Yoo Jin, Lee Min-gi, Ryu Jin
Director: Kim Jin-man
Writer: Bae Yoo-mi
Episode 36 eps

There’s no ‘nobody.’ Everybody is once an important person to somebody.
The Life Story of Beautiful-minded People; ‘The true meaning and hope of life can be learned from ordinary people.’
What makes Love Truly different from other stories is its characters; those who work in the Blue House (Korean presidential residence). This drama introduces the viewers the place considered mysterious and tabooed in TV dramas. It also features the people working inside the most unknown place in the country.

Even though the presidential residence is the main setting of the story, the main characters of the story aren’t the presidential family. The story focuses on the true residents of the Blue House; those who have always been in the very center of the history, but remained nameless for many years. In this story, the viewers will meet the presidential cook, kitchen staff, a carpenter, a photographer, bodyguards and other workers.

These people are working in the most unusual and interesting place in Korea. Nobody recognizes their hard work, but they strongly believe that the food they cook, the door they fix, and a phone call they answer can make a difference. They take their work very seriously and always do their best. The story features the simple, but noble spirit of those who love their job and work hard. Therefore, the Blue House in this story represents the workplace of the hardest working people in the country, rather than the secret and off-limits presidential residence.

Cast:

유진 (Eugene) as 여봉순 (Yu Bong Soon)

for those who were fans of Eugene's previous MBC drama, Wonderful Life, you'll see a reunion of sorts between Eugene, Jung Da Bin [the child actress who portrayed her daughter in Wonderful Life], and Kim Hye Ok [the actress who portrayed Eugene's mom in Wonderful Life].

Here, Jung Da Bin is Joon Won's [the President's son] daughter. Kim Hye Ok is the President's wife. Can Yu Bong Soon be the President's love child? [this is in no way a spoiler, if you saw a scene in ep 1]

Also note the way the writer named two of the characters in the drama, Bizarre Bunch fans should have noticed it: 여 (Yu) = female, 남 (Nam) = male
In this drama we have Yu (female) Bong Soon and Nam (male) Bong Ki.

Who will you be rooting for--the JinJin couple (Yoo Jin [Eugene] & Ryu Jin) or the BongBong couple (Bong Soon & Bong Ki)?

I did notice that love child thing in the first episode, but it all seems a bit confusing at this point in time. I did notice Kim Hye Ok though already. I like her character so far. I guess we will have to see how well this storyline progresses.

thanx for the info creidesca. although i wanted to see "dr Kang" as thought but this will do...hehe (since it's following the lighter theme). Anyhoo...it's interesting so far - esp the story of Bongshoon from the pictures (to be seen...hehe). I like Eugene in "save the last dance for me" so was glad to see her in here (also her characters are very similar to both dramas). Ryu Jin is a great actor. Lee Min Gi is someone that I just recently noticed from the variety show X-man - can't wait to see his acting (he's pretty good at playing games emoticon).

If you guys are not sure you'll be interested in this drama, watch at least the first 8 epis, then make your decision. The drama starts out slow (remember this is MBC' weekend drama, and not their Mon-Tues or Wed-Thurs drama). One contributing factor to the slow start is due to Eugene injuring her arm during filming even before the 1st ep aired in Korea.

Really Really Love You isn't Min Ki's first acting role. His debut role was in the Drama City "My Older Brother" (those who watched KBS' daily drama "My Precious Child" when it was cut down to 3-days week would remember the 1st Drama City that aired w/ eng subs; that was his debut role). He's done 2 other Drama City epis since then, as well as the popular MBC daily drama "Be Strong Geum-soon" in which he won an award in the New Actor/Actress Award (remember the one whom Daniel Henney gave a pat on the back to at the 2005 MBC Drama Awards), and the MBC Best Theatre "Taerung's National Village" [this Best Theatre got released on DVD back in Feb/March 2006, sadly can only be bought on Global Yesasia] written by the Hong Sisters who were responsible for KBS' "Sassy Girl Chunhyang" and SBS' "My Girl". It was during his time on "Be Strong Geum-soon" that he participated in SBS' variety show "X-Man"

He's also very good friends w/ Joo Ji Hoon (from MBC drama "Palace") since their modeling days.

Thanks for the background info creidesca. I always watch at least the first 5 episodes of a drama and usually by then I am hooked anyway. It seems like an interesting drama to watch.

Was watching my taped copy of ep 1, and noticed at least 2 cut scenes, both scenes likely didn't last more than 1-2min, but the 2nd cut scene, I felt was pretty crucial.

and something of interest:

Eugene plays her age (25). Ryu Jin (34) plays a character 3 years younger than himself. And Lee Min Ki (21) plays a character 7 years older than himself.

K-drama: 진짜 진짜 좋아해 (Really Really Like You)

In the subtitles it said that Eugene's character was 23. Unless I wasn't paying attention. What happened in the 2nd cut scene?? Do you mind sharing? I hate how both LA18 and KXLA(KSCI) 44 both cut out many scenes and a lot of them are crucial to the storyline! They cut out some really good scenes from Sam Soon as well.

Hmm... well, on the Eugene's character's ID, it says that her birthday is May 25, 1982 (which happens to be today????.... scary)... so that would mean she'd be 24 if we go by todays date. I don't know what the dates are in the drama. So she's either 23 or 24 years old...
