update 03/10/09
The new ANH-styled vacuformed shorts are in the works. Board member and accomplished professional prop maker MonCal has my DP shorts and has created a master. The hard part is over and he's going to pull vacuformed prototypes this week. Here's a photo of the new plaster, master from which the new vacuformed shorts will be pulled. More news very soon!

Update:
Here are a couple test pulls. one in black styrene and another in .06 PETG (like a water bottle - pretty sure we won't be going with that.) We're also going to try ABS (like stormtrooper armor). These will be easy for you to customize the length by simply trimming. That's all the info I have right now.
