Re: Additional Forum Sticker Proposal

Hi Guys,

I am going to get the final sticker designs priced tomorrow at the printing place.

They're as follows:

Design #1: Black background sticker measuring 235mm width x 108mm height

Image

Design #2: Cut out version with transparent background (same size)

The letters in this sticker will be cut out and there is NO flying exy image in this version of the sticker because it will not be digital. This sticker will not have the outer white border around it.

Image

Stay tuned for their availability and pricing.

If the price is reasonable, BOTH designs will be available to members to choose from.

I like the uniform look of both and the simple layout to get the forum url and name to be seen easily.

Nice work guys.

So, who is the madman with the flying Exy ?

Re: Additional Forum Sticker Proposal

OK Guys,

I just came back from the printing place and here is the situation:

1. Design #1 will be digitally printed in exactly the same way as our current bumper sticker and it will be exactly the same awesome quality. I have given them the go a head for this sticker.

2. Design #2 had to be changed because the cut out version of this sticker will be vinyl with no background, so to use the image of the flying exy with this design it will have to go through digital printing as well as having the vinyl sticker made which will double its price. I have updated the look of this design on the previous page of this thread to show you how it'll look like and I have also given the printing place the go a head for this design WITHOUT the flying exy!

3. The existing forum bumper sticker will also be printed.

The printing place just loved the design of the new stickers and thought they look great emoticon

It will probably be a week until all stickers are ready and this will be the time when I will announce their availability and pricing and also package options so you can save some $$$ when ordering more than one sticker.

So, it's all happening guys and I thank you for your input and look forward to your support to our (your) forum when you place orders for these.

Doh!!!!!!!!!!!!

Only just got to see the design, and its already going ahead.

I'm sure that the white will look a bit daggy after a couple of years emoticon

Any chance of having the white parts in chrome???????????? emoticon emoticon emoticon

I think that the silvery finish would look much better on our burgundy and slate grey XTrails emoticon - I can't believe you didn't think of it Jalal emoticon

I'm already wishing that I had the website sticker in chrome instead of white on my burgundy as the white, although pleasant, doesn't have nearly the bling factor of Greg's chrome sticker on his slate grey background emoticon As Greg says, even when its dirty it looks better emoticon

Re: Additional Forum Sticker Proposal

Sorry Anita,

While chrome is nice, it is VERY delicate and will not last as long the standard white vinyl would. In addition to that, it will push the price of these sticker into "un-affordable" territory and I don't want to be selling you a sticker for 30 bucks or so!

The stickers have been designed in a way so they can blend in on any colour car (design #1) and on any window (design #2)

In addition to all these stickers you will still have a choice to order the chrome URL links if you want to.

And finally, if we're to have the white lettering in chrome while the X and TRAIL remain in red, it will put more emphasis on the chrome text and break-up the meaning of the URL as a whole, so from a distance you will only catch AUSTRALIAN and .com.au because they'll shine and stand out more than the rest of the sticker.

Trust me on these designs and am sure you gonna love them. Even the printing place said he will make sure he sticks them on his display when done and they already have our oval bumper sticker displayed there emoticon

Re: Additional Forum Sticker Proposal

Here you go mate LOL emoticon just what the doctor has ordered. hehehehe

I am sure I won't be able to make every one of you happy, but there is more than one option and choice of stickers for you guys and new members to choose from, which I think will be a great thing, not forgetting the expense associated with these stickers to make it happen.

There will be an announcement made by us (the admin team) shortly in this regard and things will slightly change with the way these stickers are allocated and sold.

Re: Additional Forum Sticker Proposal

Guys,

That's not a very "diplomatic" way of saying it LOL emoticon

You could say, I like them all but my personal preference is.... emoticon

Cutting things out of a sticker that has been professionally printed and designed, sounds a bit....harsh emoticon
