New member from QLD

Hi everyone, my wife and I have just become the proud owners of a black 2004 X-Trail.
It's the first vehicle I've owned in 20 years or so that doesn't have a transfer case, but with a couple of the kids getting their own licenses at the moment, we've decided to downsize a bit.
After originally being put off X-Trails by some of the "interesting emoticon " bits in their design (instrument cluster mainly), we test drove most of the stuff available in this size/price range, and the X'ie immediately impressed.
Reading this forum was also a big help in making the decision to get one, so thanks everyone.

Hi Tim and welcome to the forum.

Your member number is X-1435

Glad to have you as a formal member.

Your post has automatically granted you Regular Membership status and access to most (but not all) forum sections. You now have the option to upgrade to Full Membership to gain access to all forum sections (details HERE).

There is a lot of useful information around the various threads and I am sure you will be quite busy reading it all.

Please use the search feature of the forum first and post any questions you may have into existing threads where possible. Try to avoid creating a new thread if the topic is already covered, thanks.

Let us know if you need any help with any aspect of the forum and we will be more than happy to assist.

We have set-up quite an extensive forum guide section which you may like to refer to for help and it can be found HERE

As a new member you are encouraged you to familiarize yourself with the following section of the forum: Site Navigation & Forum Guides

If you could update your location and add your name and Exy model (when you get it) into your signature of the Miscellaneous section of the Control Panel it would help us all to answer any future questions you might have.

Enjoy your stay with us and let us know if you need any help.

Hi Tim & family; emoticon to the Forum.
Congatulations on your decision, to join the great world of owning an Exy.
Great to hear that you got some help, in your decision making from the Forum.
There is heaps of fantastic info in here.
Previous 4X4s I have owned, have all had transfer cases, but after seeing some of the places, the Exy has taken us, & other members; you soon realise what a fantastic little truck they are.
(I use the term "Truck" very Loosly.)
Have a look through the trip reports, you will be blown away by some of the reports, & foto's.
If you are after any goody's for your new toy, check out the online shop.
As Scot has said, there is an outing coming up soon, you might be interested in.
Would be good to meet you there, if you can make it.
It would give you a chance, to meet some of the members in person, have a look at what they have done to their Exy's.

If you haven't already done so; could you please click the flashing button, up the top of the page, which says Vote for our forum.;
After you do this, could you drop into the announcements section, (vote for our site) & let everyone know how we are going in the position race.
If everyone votes for the forum each day, we can climb up the listing, & show everyone that the X-Trail does rock the world..
Thanx for that. emoticon
