Very Very New!

Am so new that I dont even have my X-Trail yet!

I am currently in the process of selling my beautiful red Mazda RX8 to make way for an even more beautiful new X-Trail. emoticon

Yes, I'm leaving the sports car set... and joining the 4WD set! Big step!! I know I won't regret it.... I hope!

Thought I'd better start by joining this "club" and learning a little about the X-Trail! I'm a "not so young" female and looking very forward to the start of my new adventure!!

Hoping to get a 2009 Twilight, or if unavailable, perhaps Platinum. I live in the "outback" and understand (from my short time on this forum) that the Twilight is ideal as far as not showing the dirt quite as much as some of the other colours. There's a LOT of dirt out here!

Better get reading!! THere's a lot of it to do, I notice, on this site!!

Re: Very Very New!

Thanks for the welcome. I'm in South Australia (Woomera), recently from Queensland.
From the beach.. to the desert!

I have ordered my Xtrail, should be able to pick it up in a couple of weeks. 2009 ST T31 6spd Manual Twilight (Metallic), so just the basic model (for now!). Total change for me, from ritzy sports car to ..."beast"!

Can't wait! Meanwhile will read up a bit on this site, don't know a great deal about 4WDs. I kind of fell into them. Booked a little 4cyl auto hire car once, they'd run out and said "sorry, all we have left is an Xtrail" DAMN (I thought)..until I got in it and drove it around. WOW! I love it!! Do I HAVE to give it back?

So here I am!!

I traded a 3MPS on my Xtrail in June..... and I don't miss it that much.....

Only the petrol boost kick if I want to overtake (as the TL T/D Xy isn't that quick)..... although, allegedly doing 180 by the time you pass the cab of a quad dog log truck is slightly stupid, and the Xy still lets me overtake them when they are doing 80.....
