Another new Diesel for the family!

Hello "X Men" (... and women!!)

We collected our new 1/09 diesel in April. Very happy with the deal, but a word of warning ... be wary of their servicing costs - 10000Km service which involved not much more than changing oil = $340+ . Our new baby will be being serviced at our local RACQ mechanic henceforth!!

Colour = platinum, manual, with tow kit, mats and headlight/bonnet protectors.

It now lives with us at Helidon in Queensland ... home of world renowned architectural sandstone and previously world famous spa water - before multinationals bought it all out and shut it down!!

The car replaces a Suzuki Sierra soft top (last of the venerable model - 1998) which our family has now very much outgrown ... so it has very capable boots to fill. We guess time will tell hey .... but judging by the comments on this forum, we have bought into quite a pedigree!

Cheers to all,

...Michael & Kirsty W...

It pays to shop around, my closest dealer to where I work was over $100-00 dearer then the next nearest dealer for the 10,000km service.

Hi Michael & Kristy; emoticon to the Forum.
You are right about buying into a pedigree; as you will see from all the various threads, we are all very impressed with our Exy's.
As Scot said, there is an outing coming up soon, if you are interesred, check out the meetup section, & add your name to the list.
If ypu have a look at the trip reports, you will see some of the places, these mighty little trucks have taken our members.

If you haven't already done so; could you please click the flashing button, up the top of the page, which says Vote for our forum.;
If everyone votes for the forum each day, we can climb up the listing, & show everyone that the X-Trail does rock the world..
Thanx for that.

Happy Trailing, & enjoy your time in here, as much as we do.
 emoticon

Re: Another new Diesel for the family!

Many thanks for the warm welcome, colleagues.

Have voted like you asked, John & Melinda, and was interested to note that the forum is rated at No 15 at present - not bad for a world wide audience!

Thanks too for news about upcoming outings, but with one of us being a shift worker and having a young family makes these a tot difficult for now.

Cheers,

Michael & Kirsty

Re: Another new Diesel for the family!

Howdy Michael and welcome aboard!

The Diesel X-Trail is an excellent choice, I have a TL after trading in my T30 Ti X-Trail.
Maybe check out the diesel section of the forum and read up on the details regarding oils and also the servicing section about dealer servicing. Lots of info in there.
Just make sure the servicing place uses the right oil! It can be an expensive mistake! Also avoid bio-diesel at the moment, its not so good for the engine.

Welcome again,

-dronus
