No worries mate,i think this should be put to nissan,and it is interesting that by using the test unit nissan has the solenoid can be moved at will.So this test would not be hard to do at all cheers

I think the main problem is that probably not all Nissan service centres would have an endoscope to perform this non-invasive test.

Wouldn't cost much to hire one Kev. Much cheaper than dismantling the lower section of the intake manifold to have a look.

Re: **Loose intake butterfly screws**

No way!

It seems to be affecting a very small amount of cars, and Nissan seem to be willing to fix the problem (even if you do need to put up a fight)

============================================

Hi, after reading all off the problems with the butterfly srews I unsrewed mine and put some loctite-262 ,this was the strongest I could get.Also before I unscrewed them , I checked their tension and found that some where very tight and others not as tight, also some of them looks they already had some type of loctite and others none.Mine is a 2001 and had travelled 122k when I purchased it about 2 months ago.
